Trijntje Oosterhuis to represent Netherlands? http://www.escunited.com/home/trijnt...t-netherlands/

Is it a secret anymore? Trijntje Oosterhuis may be aiming to go one better for the Netherlands
It appears that a Dutch announcement may come sooner or later – as 2013 participant Anouk may have unwittingly confirmed rumours that Trijntje Oosterhuis will represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

Speaking on Dutch TV tonight, Anouk appears to let slip that she will have some role to play in the Dutch entry for 2015, likely as the author of the song Trijntje would sing in Vienna. However, TROS has not confirmed anything yet and it remains to be seen whether the Dutch pop star will indeed be representing her country come next May.
Trijntje Oosterhuis is perhaps best known as the singer of Total Touch, a Dutch pop group formed with her brother Tjeerd in 1990. Anouk previously collaborated with Trijntje on her 2012 album “Wrecks We Adore”.

Re: THE NETHERLANDS 2015

Truly great news! I can't say I heard of her before, but after googling, reading and listen to her I'm amazed. She appears to be a fantastic singer live, perhaps one of the best in ESC overall for years? Good luck with this Netherlands! xheart

I really like this choice :D :nl: took ESC very seriously and their last two results are a proof that, when things are taken seriously, results have to come.

I expect another great entry from :nl: :D

I can't really say I'm fond of Trijntje, but that's because I usually don't care about mainstream pop. However, Anouk and The Common Linnets really surprised me in the past years with a previously unheard unique style, and since her singing skills are without question, I'm hoping for a new surprise.

One of the few songs I remember of her is this 1998 song:

I will wait for her song but as for now she seems like a downgrade from the last two years' artists...

Why is her name in the thread title? I can't find any official confirmation it's Trijntje.

I'm still holding out hope that it's just a rumour. Anouk and Trijntje might be under consideration and trying to force their participation through by going public.

It's a big disappointment if true. All I can find so far from her online are extremely dated cheesy ballads.

She does not look like a winner, but neither did Conchita before anyone had heard her song or seen her perform.
Crossing my fingers for The Netherlands, I really really want something like Calm After The Storm (which was the best song this year!!!)

Truth to be told, Conchita didn't win because of the song, but that is another story, and it is not important right now.

In Trijntje's case, everything depends on the song. If it is good enough, she may repeat the success of Common Linnets, or even improve it. If not, she will fail.

A pretty good choice for Netherlands, I hope she sings some blues kind of a song, then her would be so right up my street for me! :D I don't see her as a winner, but I do hope that I will like her song, cause for me loving three dutch entries in a row would be something I would never ever believe happen haha :D

An interesting, but also a risky choice if it turns out to be true (and it definitely looks like it is true).

A German ESC Blog (PrinzBlog) has written that she will sing under the name "Traincha" instead of her complicated Dutch name. Same happened to Marge alias Marcha in 1987.
