I am very happy for Austria. Conchita gave an amazing performance. I know what you mean with statement, but it is still a very high quality and well performed song which deserved to win. Last year Denmark was one of my least favourite countries...
I am also surprised by how much I liked the life performances of both Austria and Netherlands. Both countries were pre-contest (last week, actually) just outside my top ten, now I think they are the best after all.

Well, The Netherlands did come FIRST in the stronger semi, so I'm going to always think of that when I think ESC 2014.
