we walked around the Press Center and asked two dozen people and here and the vast majority said that The Netherlands had the best rehearsal. After that, Greece, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom received about the same amount of votes.
On the other hand, most people said Armenia had the weakest rehearsal followed by Germany.
Greece? You can't be serious.. I'm kind of curious on why Germany and Armenia are weak among the jury's.. (Armenia's perfomance in the first semi final was pretty good and Germany's act is kind of catchy).

This is only the press' impression. This doesn't mean the juries will agree, it's just slight indicator on how performances were perceived.

We have to be very proud of Waylon and Ilse, they start with a hole lot of critism when they came to Danmark....the song was to slow, people, would fall a sleep on this song and country never worked on esc, and look at them now, everything makes sence suddenly!

So people....yes country songs can work on esc and slow songs can also work on esc the netherlands proved that this year with their outstanding very professional staging...and I am proud of them for the fact they showed it to everyone!

I still think it's way too overhyped for the final. I just don't like the opportunism from many dutch people who say 'we will win for sure'. We will probably end at the top 10/15.

Well i think we will end up between 4 and 6th place actualy, because i do not think many countrys will vote high points for us....Since I never seen that happen the year I watched esc:)) I am still dutch...so I believe it, only when I see it!

Well, I love it to see we can be emotional too, get rid of our modisty, this time not seek details to let us self down. I'm happy with top ten, but we have one more day to dream xyes

I don't think we are that modest to be honest. We are more like pessimists unless proven otherwise and then we're extremely overconfident. And then we are not modest at all, because we would scream to all people how good we are then!

But I don't mind being like that. It's actually quite funny. Self-mockery, I love that. :p

Definitely top 10, we are way to popular to end up 10-15. =)

Israel would disagree, they were Number 1 in the popular vote for Semi 2 and they didn't even made the Top 10 out of 15.

That being said, i also believe that Top 10 is rather likely but don't be too sure about anything.

I compare it a little bit with our opportunism in our national soccer team. Just look at the songs that were made for the EC 2012, "We worden kampioen" etc.. And yep, in the first round we were kicked out of the competition. I just hate the fact our opportunism is going to be a little bit arrogant (for example, look at the dutch people who suscribed in may 2014 on this forum)

This is actually the final, and i think it will be hard to be outstanding compared to some great acts. Otherwise i think it's a very good song, one of the best of this year. But i'm also afraid if the live-experience will be equivalent to the first semi-final.

I already thought our national soccer team would be a huge failure before EC 2012 even started. :p (that's probably the pessimist in all of us :p)

I don't think we are really that arrogant though. Arrogance is more than just shouting everywhere that your country is doing so well. The main thing of arrogance is IMO that you think your country/song/whatever is superior. And with arrogance comes criticizing other countries and not being afraid to say so everywhere. I don't think that's what we are doing here.

I just think we are overconfident and not modest at all, but arrogant? No.

I think all this hype is just because they made it to the final. If it hadn't, no would be talking about them right now.

The hype is because of how well it came across on tv. Such perfect staging lifted a pleasant song into something that stood out as being incredibly slick and professional.

It's exactly this xclap

The performance really raised the song and brought it to the attention of people who were passing it before! Just making the final alone doesn't give a song the type of hype this is currently getting, its way more then that xsnooty

I think the 'originality of composition' for this song will let it down sadly. Vocal capacity I would give it quite high (8/10) and for overall impression I would give it high too (8.5-9/10). But for originality of composition, I would give it a 6.

I will probably chuck a couple of votes The Netherlands way :)
