Would like it better without the rap part to be honest but it's cool, something refreshing from Switzerland, a little crazy but not too much, yeah proper entry from :ch:!

Curious to see how this will be performed though, it needs to be staged properly and not too much over the top for it to do well I think.

On the fence how I will rate this, but I feel like it's around 8-ish?

What a mess! A bit too try-hard for me, but damn, it has SO MUCH staging potential. 100% qualifying. 5pts from me for now.

Well, that was... different!

If he could pull it off on stage, we might be looking at a potential jury winner here.

It's Nemo - The Code

I am very confused - chaotic DnB popera with a rap verse? Style/genre changes every thirty seconds? I definitely like it to some extent but I have no idea how much. This is anywhere from a 6 and a 12 for me and I just can't tell yet lol. Gonna hover around an :8: for now though. Very interested to see it done live.

Edit: After a few more listens, I'm up to at least a :10:. xheat

This is.... well, what the hell is it??? I didn't like the start bcs I don't like their voice too much there, but some later vocal parts are really impressive. If they can do that live... wow. And it's somehow so chaotic, but it also feels so unique. Definitely amazing staging potential. I'll have to listen to it again to be sure, but I think I really like it!

Definitely a very cool addition to this years line-up!

I like it. Feels different for Switzerland for sure.

I feel like it has a lot of potential to do well in May. I'll give it a :8: when the poll opens.

Docked it a few points because some of the lyrics are not the most exciting. I feel like "my heart beats like a drum" is becoming the new "shine bright". I've heard it too much. Still, it's overall a very enjoyable song.

Didn't realize :ee: Ingmar was representing Switzerland this year.

Jokes aside The Code is definitely different but on first listen I'm not a fan of it all. Musical theater is not my genre to begin with and this comes off artsy just for the sake of it. Way too try-hard and pretentious for me.

I don't believe for a second this was the best song SRF got sent but they probably got tired of people complaining about sending a male ballad three years in a row and decided to do a complete 180. I'm sure Nemo will have big stage plans for this. Very hard to tell if this will be a qualifier or not.

Hopefully 2025 is the year Switzerland stop sending biological males. xpray
