Song 2: Tone Sekelius – "Rhythm of My Show"
Tone performed in Melfest 2022 with the song “My Way”. She’s back this year with the song "Rhythm of My Show". It’s a power ballad, with a good beat. I’ve noticed some similarities to Spain’s ESC 2022 entry: Chanel - "SloMo", particularly the chorus and music immediately thereafter. The Melfest performance of "Rhythm of My Show" includes a backing group, waving their arms, just like in Spain’s ESC 2022 entry. I like the captions and flame effects on the background screens, and real flames at the front of the stage at times, all of which enhance the song. Another lively performance, but if this gets to Eurovision, will some consider it too similar to Chanel - "SloMo"?

I dunno how, but Jon Henrik & Mariette should try to find a way to collab to finally get to Eurovision. Their own songs are getting less and less competitive with time (even if I still kinda like them, especially "One Day"), they may need some big change – like, in a KEiiNO way!

I know it´s basic, dull and generic as hell but haha, I really like this entry - but I think it´s because of the tone of Mariette´s voice.
She´s sold basic and formulaic pop rejects at Melodifestivalen before.

The two male dancers (I forgot their names) are - beside Loreen - the real powerhouses of this Melodifestivalen. They're everywhere and they're always slayin!

Mariette's song is a bit like Tusse's. Quite nice overall, but very safe and thus a tad on the dull side.

Both songs tonight are good, but not quite good enough... If they team up it HAS to be incredible!

Song 3: Mariette – "One Day"
A ballad, with a very catchy chorus. Mariette has a beautiful voice, and sang well tonight. What’s the significance of the wide curved slide with steps in the middle? Early on I noticed two members of the backing group sliding down (one per side). The bridge is just four instances of "We can make it". Although a simple bridge, and sung at a gentle pace compared to the rest of the song, it is effective. All in all, a memorable song. That said, this song reminds me of certain ABBA hits, and Sweden's 1999 winner "Take Me To Your Heaven", so could it be too dated for ESC 2023?
