She did. It‘s very impressing how one can sing and move at the same time so flawlessly. Yet I didn’t like the performance. xscared

Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood tonight.
I even didn’t like Six Feet Under much and I usually love Smash into pieces…

Aaah, I suppose your wording was just a bit unfortunate then ("mediocre Loreen performs" when what Loreen manages to do is anything but mediocre ). Yeah, I actually did enjoy her performance, but her song is just a whole lot of nothing to me. Never ceases to amaze me how those who don't shy away of criticising "basic bland MF reject" pop songs (w/e that means), celebrate exact those when they like them. Truly fascinating, the mind of an ESC fan.

I actually prefer the song to Euphoria. Euphoria is undoubetedly a better song, and I understand the unamious praise as it's a perfect pop song - I personally never got into it. I'm a sucker for scandi-pop, and I like how this in a way is more by the numbers, but really tightly and expertly produced. The staging is immaculate, her being between two LED's should get boring after a while but she sells it completely - her costume and lighting is perfect. Makes the whole package look and seem expensive.

I'm not going to lie I definitely identify as a eurovision gay who likes an expensive stage production, by the numbers but perfectly crafted pop song and a diva to belt out big notes. Lol. It's my niche and I'm not afraid to admit it.

No worries, power to you good sir! But lurking around the forum, you will notice how a lot of people always ask for something daring or special, especially from Sweden... and I fail to see how Tattoo fits into this category. Loreen herself is flawless in her delivery, I can appreciate that. But the song...?

There's nothing out of the box about this. It's just executed well.

I wasn't really following MF, I just now searched and heard Loreen's song because I saw it mentioned in other threads.
To me it sounds like ABBA meets Euphoria. Especially, the first thing that came to my mind when the song started was The winner takes it all.
I didn't hear other songs, so I can't judge if it's really the best among them.
I'm also undecided if I can or can't understand the hype.
While the song is nothing to write home about, imo this whole year is pretty underwhelming, so I get why would this be favourite.
The staging was stunning.

How do I keep it short : let’s just say I got feelings of constriction when I saw her between the floor and that panel above her. I like it when there is more energy and not just lying around. I didn’t like Loic's part of the performance when he was on the floor in 2015. But he had an awesome song at least.
Thanks for Sharing. I guess I get it, at least that it might make you uncomfortable.

Well, my thoughts after tonight's Heat 4.

First of all, Kiana was absolutely GREAT! Yes, the song is a basic scandi-pop and would have slim chances in Liverpool, but I really like it! I guess, it's one of my many guilty pleasures this year :p

Second thing, Mariette's song really grew on me after live, didn't think much of the snippet before though.

Smash Into Pieces was as good as I expected them to be. One of my favorite songs from all NF this year. Winner of MelFest? Hardly. Unfortunately.

And Loreen? Well, I read all the comments here about her and as someone said in another thread in this forum, you guys really can bring the hype down with basically any song

But seriously, I liked it. Saw the mishap during her live as well. Thought it was some camera work malfunction, didn't actually see the stage invader. Feeling for Loreen and big respect she was able to continue. Nevertheless all that trouble, she SLAYED on the stage!
Her performance was a BOMB indeed. I got the BEAT I was waiting for :D
She hasn't been crowned yet, but I see it's quite likely. But if she wins, will she be my overall no.1 this year? At least for now, I don't think so. Maybe the nails scare me? Or the you-ho-hoo annoys me? Haven't put all that in order yet
AND - Alessandra still has a spell on me...

I mean yeah essentially yes, but there is „essentially just executed well but it speaks to me“ and „executed well but it doesn’t speak to me“. Hold me closer was the latter to me, I really didn’t like it despite it deserving coming fourth overall, while this year Loreen is the former to me and I truly hope she gets another opportunity to shine on that ESC stage. I don’t even care how she scores. But if I may say so, from my personal taste she executed it even much better than Cornelia.

I just watched Loreen's performance and the staging is special. I love the little instrumental part of the song before it goes into the final chorus. That's a real moment. Unfortunately though the song still sounds for the most part like something Mariette would compete with. Loreen elevates it like crazy, so there's that and it's a huge plus admittedly.

Statements (which I thought was glorious might I add) felt like Loreen coming back to Melodifestivalen with a crown on her head, thinking she could risk anything. It came across so raw and genuine. That backfired spectacularly and so now she's back with an extremely safe attempt to win the crowds once more with ease. I don't blame her after what happened but I just wish that chorus wasn't so basic and mildly annoying even with the you-ou-ous. Still, what else is there to pick? Loreen just oozes star quality and this is a tremendously underwhelming year for Melodifestivalen.

Loreen might be the only possible contender to knock Kaarija off my number one spot. Her performance was pretty damn close to bringing me to tears, and it’s not even an emotional song. The stagecraft and her presence are just truly incomparable.

I think the stage Invasion was very clear in the TV Broadcast but for those who did not see it, heres a recording directly from the Arena

F*cking imbecile! Got his 10 seconds of fame, live long and prosper now!
Glad that nothing serious didn't happen to the artist and the staff.

I'm not completely crazy about Tattoo as a song, but it comes alive on stage. What can we say about this woman? She has such a strong and magnetic presence, she just commands attention xheart. And the staging works really greatl on TV. I have no doubt she will win MF and become a strong contender for the jury victory this coming May in ESC and also for a very high placement (at least) with the audience and thus she will probably be the overall winner. :D

Ugh I was genuinely bored watching the performance, yes, polished, but it wasn’t interesting. too much light and mellow. I only remember the beginning and I am not compelled to rewatch it. the song is a lot weaker than Statements.

i wanna see Air
