This is so truelol, all the years, if someone had a great voice or overdramatic staging like Sheldon last year or Gjon‘s tears or Azerbaijan last year all people went „it’s not about the voice!!! It’s not a voice contest!!! It’s not about massive props on stage!!! It’s not a prop contest!!! It’s not about the tears and dramatic hand gestures!!! It’s a contest of the overall package!!!“
But now a mediocre Loreen performs and of course, exceptions are made for "the Queen“.
To me Loreen is 5 points at best in either song, voice or performance. Overhyped, as much as the Finnish entry.
Not my evening tonight!
Eh, I think it deserves a little more credit. Pop done by one or several guys isn't automatically bad. Air isn't a copy of that Eric/Danny type of music like Liamoo's Bluffin was last year, I hear a bit of Everything but the girl in AirDo us proud? It sounds like a bad Eric Saade/Danny song... 10 years too late.
I stopped reading at that partby going too woke
No offense but that sounds an awful lot like (unfounded!) conspiracy theory.I think the staging etc is of course great, but whats lacking is the song, its pretty weak. The EBU will be desperate to stop a Ukraine win this year, although that will never be mentioned it is a fact. The contest has been damaged more and more by going too woke, and another charity award would be a disaster.I say that as someone who thinks Ukraine have been amazing at ESC over the years. The EBU must of been looking at every entry coming in praying that something could win the jury by enough to beat Ukraine winning the televote again by a large margin as is likely ,and then getting very worried when they saw the selections. It is possible Sweden could do just enough to secure that, but its far from given. It would have to be package way over song. There are still a few countries to play their hands though, plus entries with potential like Spain to really nail their staging/lighting etc.If someone is to beat Ukraine its likely they will need to win the jury easily and get a decent top 3 televote.
Loreen is a great live singer, I think the "haters" are just trying to pick whatever thing they can come up with... if someone doesn't like the song fine but to claim she is a bad live singer and performer like really?

Will the discrimination against men by the gay community ever end? /sI‘m just surprised about the bias in the Eurovision bubble. If it’s a male performance it’s always „go away with these extra dramatic over the top performances“ but females are "slay queen“.
One part of the fandom: "People have insane standards just because it's Loreen!"
Another part of the fandom: "People hype Tatoo just because it's Loreen!"
But you can't deny that Loreen performs like a champ.
Good job @LoorenLooren literally saving Sweden, because if it wasn't for her, they were so deserving a NQ.
I personally believe that a lot of times (though I wouldn’t ever claim it’s exclusively this way) those that scream „slay queen“ about women aren’t the ones ranting against men doing the same thing. I do think there might be a (hopefully) small margin of people that your comment actually applies to and those need to check their bias. Now about what I actually wanted to comment about. Certainly, everyone has their own taste and nobody needs to LIKE Loreens stage show, but I truly fail to see how it wasn’t spectacular, as in a spectacle. Might be a negative spectacle to you, but still a spectacle, no? I mean if not, fair enough but I would truly appreciate if you could tell me why it wasn’t a spectacle to you. At least in the sphere of eurovision, I would classify this as „never before seen“I didn’t say this. Celine Dion is technically one of the best singers on this planet, yet I can’t stand her voice. Same with Loreen in terms of voice. This doesn‘t mean she is a bad vocalist, technically.
Her live performance isn’t spectacular. I didn’t like Euphoria back then and also not her performance again and she does it again with her hands, so why should I like it this time? I don’t like La Zarras hand gestures either. I understood why people didn’t like Gjon‘s or Sheldon’s hand gestures although I loved both songs! Tastes are different.
So, no, I’m not impressed by Loreen. Anyways, it’s good for you guys so I‘m happy for you that your favourite won.
I‘m just surprised about the bias in the Eurovision bubble. If it’s a male performance it’s always „go away with these extra dramatic over the top performances“ but females are "slay queen“.
But I don’t want to spoil your happiness. I come back when either Mariette or Melanie wins (which won’t happen) or to congratulate M & M, for the lack of anything better and that’s the best Sweden can do now.
Sorry, I was apparently too late. She did. It‘s very impressing how one can sing and move at the same time so flawlessly. Yet I didn’t like the performance.
but I would truly appreciate if you could tell me why it wasn’t a spectacle to you.
