I mean, I'd rather have an exciting voting as well but it is what it is. Whoever ends up winning deserves it. And no, it wont be bad for the contest if Sweden wins.
i didn’t mean it‘s bad if sweden wins in general (I had sweden twice as my number one in the last 5 years or so) but I dont want to have a second early 90ies situation.

I mean - I love chocolate, but if I eat 5 kilos of it even the best swiss brand will make me feel bad. ;)

Oh you mean like Ireland winning a million times in a row? Unimaginable today. :ROFLMAO:

what I just wrote is certainly not a very good perspective. If one country or even one artist becomes to predominant, it‘s not a good thing for the contest as a whole.

Well I don't think Sweden is that predominant. I would say it could be if they won year after year which isn't the case. Their last win was 8 years ago, almost a decade. tbh I was more afraid during 2015 cause Heroes was bland af and it managed to win and I was like "so Sweden is going to send more and more bland stuff and still getting the win cause other countries aren't able to get their shit together ?". So yeah I agree with you when something too predominant isn't a good thing but It doesn't applies 'yet' to Sweden.
Ireland got most of their wins in the same decade, it didn't hurt the contest.

completely agree. the „yet“ should have been more clear in my initial post.

Never have I thought that I would say something like this when it comes to Loreen, but I wasn´t impressed at all. This song is a huge bop and a radio hit in Russia rn so I was fortunate enough to listen to it a couple of times before the semi final´s night, but I wasn´t impressed. Her performance was indeed above the rest, it was a pure quality from the first second, but when it came down to the song I caught myself on thinking that I compare her performance with her winning one and the rest of her Melodi attempts. And Tattoo is definitely not her best one. She has better songs. I still believe that she is the one who will take the trophy back home but I think that her claims are a little bit shaky as we have some surprising entries like Croatia and Finland which may take some of her points. Anyways, I wish her lots of luck and I won´t be disappointed if she wins after all

Even if I'll dream with our 3rd victory till the very last moment, Loreen's performance screams winner from head to toes. This woman is pure gold.

I was in shock - when I drove home, they played "Tattoo" in full on German radio (WDR2 which is one of the largest radio stations in Germany).

She has been on the Bulgarian music TV for at least a month by now. She is the moment!

Tattoo is charting right now, she has multiple top 10 rankings in streaming services/Music Providers. It's not unusual, every year we have some songs charting after their SF but in this case she charts pretty well and some radio seemed to have pick it up (It's more frequent now for Radio to play "most streamed hits this week" than before).

As I'm speaking right now, depending on the streaming services the rankings are :
-
Tattoo/Queen Of Kings/Euphoria/Cha Cha Cha/Watergun/Evidemment
-
Tattoo/Queen Of Kings/ Cha Cha Cha/My Sister's Crown/Unicorn
-
Snap/Tattoo/Queen Of Kings/Cha Cha Cha/Solo

I do agree that Tattoo might not be the most outstanding and original tune of all time but it seemed to have find its audience.

So Loreen did a good job, but something felt a bit off to me in the semi (nerves?). She delivered great vocals though as always (she is undoubtedly one of the best vocalists of Eurovision this year and I would dare to say in general), but yeah it comes across as a bit stiff. I know that the staging from MF was pretty much a finished product, but I still don't get why SVT never learns to update parts for Eurovision and adapt to a different type of staging environment (at least where it really needs some updates).

Oh well, Sweden is in my top. 3/(5) this year (which has not been the case since 2012!), so I think it would be a deserving winner, although I don't think it's the best entry this year and I think if this overslays the jury vote (which I think it might be doing) it will rub me (and others) the wrong way a bit. Mostly I don't want it to win so that Melodifestivalen can maybe better itself for next year (I just can't stand how awful Melodifestivalen has become and that it these days so bluntly relies only on ONE stand-out entry for Eurovision, so if we don't win maybe just maybe they (SVT) would re-think MF a bit and get down from their high horses... but I don't see the latter changing any day soon unfortunately).

The download numbers continue to be very strong all over Europe. Would at this point be very surprised if she did not win the televote on Saturday.

Sweden (that is, Loreen) is now at nearly 50% chance of winning.

So, since it seems to be set in stone, I'll take my shot at being mad and hateful and I don't care.

I think this is one of the more interesting years in terms of originality, cultural diversity and showcasing of different languages. A bunch of great unique songs as well!

So, let's repeat the laurels of a former winner that sends the same, moves the same, in barely comprehensible basic English. Great.

I don't believe Eurovision is going to take a step back in the next years and try to copy Swedish formula (like it happened in a recent past). At least I hope this doesn't happen and it's only one year with a winner I don't like and case closed.

But talk about a way to turn such a cool crazy year in something sooooo anticlimactic.

There. I've vented. I feel better now. Carry on.

Very good job, I had massive chills. It was a stunning performance and it would definitely be a worthy winner. I expect her to win the jury vote easily and then the televoting will decide whether the winner is :se: or :fi: .

So I was right, Loreen had to be at #9 because of her big prop, there was not other option for her ( well, 2nd option was for Loreen to open, lol ). Similarly for Armenia in second half, both after the breaks.

When are all the breaks and how do you know?
