Was anyone else underwhelmed by this tonight? Please don’t attack me. I am a huge Loreen fan and like the song.

What? She sounded better than at Melfest. I was only dissapointed by the fact we didnt see the symbols on the sky led during the bridge!

YES ! that triggered me so much, it's my favorite part of the whole performance damn.

There was so much smoke too but besides that it was stellar. I feel like she conveys her energy pretty well to the viewers. Tattoo is very anthemic but in a strange way ? Anthems are often uplifting or warrior-esque and Tattoo doesn't go in those directions which is refreshing to me.

Mine too, and it was there for the dress rehearsal and the jury performance. Hopefully they didnt cut it out, maybe a shot didnt work and we will see it on Saturday

Not at all, this performance cleared away the doubts I had after the rehearsals
I'm still pulling for Finland out of the two, but I would be totally happy with this winning

I actually like this better after tonight. She is a hell of an artist. Even if I don't like all of her works, I must admit she is really a great performer!

The staging is not as impactful as at melfest BUT: her vocals! Damn that vocals! She sounded fantastic! Definitely the best vocal Performance of the night. And no / almost no prerecorded backing vocals, juries MUST reward that.
I still think Finland is going to win (love it but here i have a huge issue with the backing vocals)
And yes the song is no euphoria (qualitywise) but still the overall package is amazing and imo the best this year, so i wish people would stop tearing her down And compare her to herself, if u compare her to the rest of THIS YEAR she is on top imo.

I know I’m in a minority here but I‘m pretty certain that she won last night. All the numbers (views, downloads, etc.) are in her favour.
I think so too but I'm not that sure as Finland is basically the school study for a televote winner but Tattoo is charting pretty well while Cha Cha Cha is doing "correct" and as much as Norway while I was thinking it would be a smash hit after the SF1.

The only ridiculous thing is Euphoria doing even better on other platforms lol than any song from this year.

Assessment ORF.at:
It was reasonably clear that the big favorite of this year's competition, the Swedish Loreen with "Tattoo", will be seen on Saturday. Sweden decided this year for a gloomy production, Loreen has to stand her ground between two plates. And also sing. "Tattoo" shares the fate of several songs of this year's season at once, namely to get going quite slowly and very late. Whether Loreen increases or decreases her chances of winning with the chosen outfit and above all the overlong claws on her hands will probably only become clear on Saturday night.

She most definitely was in the top 3, but what you mentioned doesn't necessarily indicate that she won. Malta in 2021 got second place in televoting with a small difference to Ukraine mostly thank to the fact that it was performing last. So with that in mind, I think it is almost certain that Finland won the semi cause it had more impact on the viewers during the voting.

@GermanBango
what I just wrote is certainly not a very good perspective. If one country or even one artist becomes to predominant, it‘s not a good thing for the contest as a whole.

I mean, I'd rather have an exciting voting as well but it is what it is. Whoever ends up winning deserves it. And no, it wont be bad for the contest if Sweden wins.

The amount of hate toward Sweden in ESC is not ok. It is not their fault other countries are not able to do well year after year. Yes, I also get bored seeing Sweden fighting for the victory almost every year (at least with juries), but that's because I want to see other countries do well and not because I want to see Sweden do bad (if I put it correctly). Having said that, I am ready for another Swedish victory on Saturday and if it happens it will be completely deserved.

Sweden is not to blame because they are great at Eurovision, lol. Why isn't Italy getting the same hate? Their results are at the same level. These 2 countries do great because they have clever systems in their national finals: many contestants, so the winners of the national finals stand out in a big line up ( and do the same in eurovision later ).
And about the juries, we all saw that they didnt back the indifferent Voices by Tusse. The good places are deserved

Man, I love Loreen's voice. It's so strong and effortless. And she's a natural performer.

I gotta be honest, I still want Finland to win and would love to see their 2nd victory more than Sweden's 7th victory, however if Loreen does win, she and Sweden deserve it 100%.

Well I think its because Italy was very often pushed down by the jury whereas Sweden is always helped by them (resulting in them winning over Italy in 2015). Furthermore you can say that if there's a country that is always sticking to its traditional music its them while Sweden is the epitome of fabricated pop music that could be from anywhere. That however is also somehow part of Swedens music culture since ABBA but its very easy to see why people are more annoyed by their dominance.

If Italy and Sweden would be in a class, Italy would be admired for not giving a f*ck yet still having good grades while everyone would be annoyed by Sweden's desire to be pitch-perfect. :D

i didn’t mean it‘s bad if sweden wins in general (I had sweden twice as my number one in the last 5 years or so) but I dont want to have a second early 90ies situation.

I mean - I love chocolate, but if I eat 5 kilos of it even the best swiss brand will make me feel bad. ;)
