Very nice seeing John winning the Eurovoix jury vote tonight. Usually a good indicator for the contest.

No sense in being rude. If I understand you right, your issues are political and one of your concerns is you believe the policies of EBU is somehow controlled by Sweden. Fine, instead of trashing the Swedish season thread, open your own thread in the political section and state your opinion, possibly with a poll with different options. That way you can argue for your beliefs among like-minded without annoying others.

Actually, I decided not to care about how you understand me and what you think I should do.

I love the idea of a more brighter staging - exactly what I wanted xheart
But I love the outfits of the Mamas so I hope the outfits stay pretty much similar as in the NF

For selfish reason I'd love Sweden to win again and I would mind because then maybe I'd have a chance to attend ESC for the first time xlove

10th place in the fan/televote too, brings some hope at least for a good televote result in May xpray

Not concerned about the fan vote, only the jury vote has any relevance to May. I suspect it'll do far better in the televote than any fan vote.

Too all of you claiming that he and his choir didn´t sound good and had backing tracks in MF

Qwaarjet: I don´t see anything that speaks against that, a good performance, charisma on stage and the choir. That should be enough to sneak into the top 10 in the televoting

What's the name of the woman next to John on his right side?
She's got fire and attitude and grabs my attention whenever she's on camera

Good question, I only know that the woman on the very left is Lulu (has participated in swedish Idol a few years ago, she was also one of the backing singers to Behrang Miris Jalla Dansa Sawa in 2013)

I really like John's song, better than My Turn. I think he'll do very well with the jury and the public :D

I think it'll be do better in the televote than sneaking into the top 10.

Even after listening to this song after weeks, the song is really boring for me. Might be in the top ten probably, but doubt that it will go for the victory.

One thing that differs between John Lundvik and Cesar Sampson (don´t compare the songs, they are not even close to be the same, the same genre doesn´t mean same song) is that John Lundvik shows more charisma on stage compared to what Cesar did last year in Lisbon

especially the performance in the final felt a bit cold, professional and good vocally of course but cold, that could have cost him some votes among the viewers

It will be interesting to see if John with his charisma on stage and the magical "Mamas" will charm viewers across Europe, one issue for John could be if he has too much energy on stage (which could be seen at the MF final, maybe because his in-ear fell out during the performance) because it has to feel real, otherwise it will just look mannered

Pawhlen: I never understood, why people are comparing these two acts. To say that Austria 2018 equals Sweden 2019 just shows how shallow one's perception of music is. Colored singer / gospel... Oh - it's the same! What a profound analysis. xfacepalm
I sometimes feel it's a trend to try to find ANY random similarity to have something "interesting" to say on discussion boards. (As for the charisma-thing, I love John but I'm too biased to say that he has more charisma than Cesar....:lol:

So I feel like when people blame countries for being "safe", which Sweden hears pretty often, it's because the song's really good and has quality and that's why it's being "safe" if that made sense

I´m beginning to think it´s the code word for "This song is good and will be dangerous but I can´t tolerate that so let´s find something desperate to talk it down instead" and this applies to every song that get´s that statement

Sammy exactly

And what I meant with charisma was more like showing some kind of joy on stage, and I didn´t thought Cesar did that last year in the final, and that could have cost him some votes.
