Wait, I thought Fred was used as a scapegoat?

Hummels was incredible against BVB today. I feel like he's the man everyone's thinking about when they say they want someone "dark and tall"

No Mans this year? I am happy with Swedish choice. I haven't heard the song, but I've heard it's copy of cesar from last year.

It's not really that much of a Cesar copy. There are some similarities at a stretch, so I get the comparisons - i.e. they're both gospel pop of some sort performed by a 30-something black guy - but it's nowhere near being a copy. For starters, I'd say John's got a somewhat higher-pitched voice, a more upbeat/anthemic song and a more charismatic/telegenic style of performing.

Conclusion: This is better xheart

No really I just watched/listened to the performance for half an hour - love it
And I usually like Sweden every year but this takes the cake xlove

Hmm Swedens odds is shortening very fast right now, up to 4th again and closing in on Switzerland on the 3rd.

But as said before the odds will be more accurate when the reherseals starts.
But a bit interesting after all that the odds drifted quite heavy for a while and we were down to 6th and now it is all blue and shortening.

I can see John winning the televote imho but no so sure about Juries there's a lot of contenders for the "juries favorite" in SF2 but "Too Late For Love" is far more instant than The Netherlands or Switzerland and Televote tend to vote towards instant hits rather than anything else but it's a safe qualifier for sure.

If he manages top 10 in this years ESC, I will be more than satisfied, the most exciting thing will be how well he does in the televoting. If he flops in the televoting, I´m pretty sure SVT will change quite much for next years MF

It's my favourite Swedish entry of this century by far, but I don't see it as a winner but as a certain Top 10. Jurywise not so high than Benjamin, but way more televote support.

The song is very, very uplifting, but compared to other artsy and edgy entries like Portugal, Iceland, Greece, Slovenia it is a bit cheesy and cookiecutter-ish. But the kind of cheese and cookies that I like. Not like Russia with a terrible stinky cheese. Pretty sure it ends up higher than Norway, Switzerland, Cyprus.

He will be able to impress with his vocals and positive charisma. The lyrics are not top notch though. The composition is simple, but effective.

I wouldn´t be surprised if John ends up in top 5 with the juries, but I must say it would be quite hilarious if he flops heavingly with the juries and get´s a lot of points from the televote instead.

I would say it might end up like this:

Jury: 1-5th
Tele: 6-10th

Which probably will be a 5-8th place in the final results

John hinted in a interview with israeli television that the performance will be a bit more lighter in ESC than it was in MF
