is she more desent than Chanee and Nevergreen ????

Hahahaha is that a real question?
You might not like the style, and you might not like the song, but you can't say that those two are bigger artists than Patricia Kaas

oh they were really bland, and clearly under the level required by the song...

Nevergreen missed a lot of notes and they clearly lacked of charisma... I don't know why it should be an offense to say it. They don't even have a real career in music... :?

After DMGP, I thought Denmark would win easily. But Lenna had it all, and I still think with better singers, it could have won.

The truth is: nobody watching/voting in Eurovision ever cares about if he or she sings good or not.

Yeah they should vote based on the music. Unfortunately that's not always the case, and as such a song like "Et s'il fallait le faire" finishes 17th in the televoting. Thankfully the expert juries got it right in that case and rewarded it with a 4th place, a 4th place for a real song.
Anyway this is very off-topic in the Sweden 2014 thread

Listen carefully to her prestation, honey. Here's a clue ;) : it's the first and only time in the ESC history that an artist get cheers three times during her song.

In my opinion Alcazar should have won Melodifestivalen, then Ace Wilder 2nd, then Sanna Nielsen 3rd then Helena Paparizou 4th but that's my view

But I do like the song!!

I just can't see Sweden winning only 2 years after their last win. This is impossible.

Well, they should ask Ireland then, they know how to pull it

I didn't like Denmark 2010. And the best Swedish entry ever (Anna Bergendahl - I loved it!!!! I was as much shocked as the Swedes, believe me ) didn't even make it to the final. Cruel. I loved Saade too, but since then Sweden has been sending crap only; Euphoria and You are so trashy and so is Undo, sorry :oops::oops:

^^ LOL that' s pretty random, but I salute you for your words about Anna. That was indeed truly cruel on her loveable honest act. I had much preferred if Saade had not qualified though, that song was pure unbearable crap. I don't think I ever managed to listen through the whole song once. As for the rest you're simply wrong :D. I can stretch so far to admit that You was kind of bland.

I think Ace is super pleased being second and currently having success at the charts. To actually representing Sweden in ESC is a totally different thing and her act could have been misunderstood as a joke-act. I've never been a Sanna fan, but I respect her skills and experience and I think she's the best fit for the task. I'm very pleased she won. Alcazar have devoted fans, but I don't think they're not that many to let them win. I believe they were chance-less from the start even if they impressed greatly with that energy. I also think Helena Paparizou is very pleased with her participation and she has now worked her way into the Swedish audience. One has to remember she has never been a big star in Sweden and she has her fame first and most in Greece (even though she is Swedish). My personal favs EKO and Outtrigger didn't do very well, but that how it usually is for me in Melodifestivalen. :D

Ireland? That were different times, only juries were voting.

Euphoria got 372 points.
I think that says it about it not being crap!
It's a pure work of art!

Just because thousand sof people like it, it doesn't mean it's good. :p
But maybe you're right, it's a commercial success, for sure.
But, I hated Lena either (although she's from my country) - I couldn't imagine that anybody would ever vote for her ;) I was wrong - that's life, my taste of music differs from others, obviously ;)

Ya, Saade was crappy, right, but he had a good stage performace, I liked it (but not Loreen's) and I liked that catchy tune of the song. But, I suppose, he wasn't a very good singer.

Good luck to Sweden anyway. It will be a tough year, many favourites, we will see some surprises, in both positive and negative ways.
