Danish? i thought it was Swedish :?, sorry, but what's the difference?

As Dessi answered;

Nilsson = Swedish
Nielsen = Danish

Considering Sanna is from Skåne (which is the most south region in Sweden and close to Denmark aswell as former Danish territory), it wouldn't be too odd if there's some Danish origin in there aswell.

Thanks :D

One question, are the surnames family surnames? :)

Sending Sanna Nielsen, a girl with a Danish surname, to Denmark looks kinda symbolic on our behalf... wonder if it will result in some extra points from Denmark aswell xthink

I heard that it was possible to vote from Denmark in our final this year too... hmm... xthink

Oh please. You won't start saying she won because of that will you?

I think she could get some extra votes from Denmark yes ;)

Alexander Rybak got extra points from the ex-USSR bloc only due to his Belarussian origin so...

Yes, that's the most common thing, though traditionally the surname were constructed with the father's first name (but that's long ago).
Actually thats not correct, if no changes are made or ppl dont share the name, you always get the name of the mother by default, not the father in swe. (today that is, not far back)

Actually that's totally wrong, where did you even get that info from? Maybe that happened to you I dunno, but the standard is that you get your father's surname (in case there aren't any other requests or perhaps if the mother gets sole custody due to divorce settlements or something like that).

Alca is going to be happy by the fact that for some odd random reason the guys from Alcazar ended up in my dream tonight, it was a pretty fun dream I have to add :lol:

I don't think Paula Seling looks that young .. Ace has a younger look, she looks like a typhical 19 year old. Paula looks like something you'd find at a piano bar.
