I would have been soooo happy if Ace won, but the old fox took the title.
Sigh, it was a modern, fresh pop song that juries rated as 1st and Sweden sends an outdated ballad.

Maybe I'm being unfair to Sweden but I feel like Sweden is the only country that would pick "Undo" over "Busy Doin' Nothin'" xshifty

And if it would lose it would most certainly lose to some lame joke entry not to a by the numbers cliché bland ballad xshrug You don't see Samanta Tina winning in Latvia do you :?

I'm also seeing a lot people online saying their happy for Sanna for FINALLY winning but their not too thrilled or excited with "Undo". Even some of the hardcore ESC/MF fans think Sweden made the wrong choice despite liking and being happy for Sanna xshrug

Yeah, you're right but I think it's because Sanna is Sweden's sweetheart, for the adults that is. She has been around in the competition since 2001 and has never missed out on a final and I think those 5000-6000 '' supporter/fandom '' votes that made her win yesturday. It's the typhical '' you've got to be Swedish to understand it '' entry, just like Yohio was. I just hope Ace is not sad, I wanna hug her and tell her that she is amazing. I just dislike that Sweden always send entries like this (not in 2009/2012)

Russian jury was really unprofessional, maybe he hates everyone supporting Ukraine?

Poor choice, just like :es:, they never managed to surprise me postively... :5: points for their worst entry since 2005.

I understand what your saying about you have to be Swedish to understand it thing....pretty much every country has those

I really don't know how the general viewers who watch will receive Sanna or "Undo" xshrug In my personal opinion she has WAY more in common with Anna Bergendahl and Robin Stjernberg then she does with Eric Saade or Loreen....song-wise the same thing xshrug And as you know the results for the two sides were very different ;)

I feel like it will be as with Azerbaijan last year (if I'm assuming the didn't cheat), they were not very hyped before the competition (because of an "outdated ballad") but they still got 2:nd place. If Sanna manage to touch people with her voice and the song (and have a powerful overall performance with lights and graphics and stuff like that)I think it will place much better than many expect, but I don't think it will win.

Well, we usually have many spokespersons like that in ESC: unfriendly, people who don't give a ***** about this and they don't even hide it, etc.....

Seriously, I don't think Ukraine was so present yesterday in MF. Otherwise, SVT would've called any other ex-soviet country instead of Russia ;)

He seemed fine to me xshrug

I think he was visibly nervous and didn't want to look up in fear of what he might see.....he was trying to read the votes pretty fast to avoid staying long  He probably didn't want to risk getting booed or anything xshrug At the same time I liked that he went fast cause I was so nervous myself and half the time was like come on stop chatting just read the damn votes

Also while the Dutch guy was pretty eccentric and a little odd I thought the host lady was pretty rude to him. She was pretty much laughing at him xsnooty

Yeah, that's true, but there wasn't any song with something in common with Eric Saade or Loreen (I mean, able to get a similar result).

No there most certainly wasn't ;)

I should have said as a performer she's more like Anna and Robin then Eric and Loreen xfacepalm In my opinion she doesn't have the presence or charisma like Eric/Loreen and is more like Anna/Robin. I think as FilipFromSweden said she like those two feels more like you have to be Swedish to fully get it while Eric/Loreen had far more international appeal xshrug

BTW I love how some people use the word "outdated" to describe the ballads they don't like just for the sake of it.
(the same that some use "cheap" for the dance and up-tempo songs they don't like)

IMO only some specific ballads like Lithuania 2008 and 2011 can be called "outdated". The rest can be more classic or more modern, but not all of them are outdated.

Outdated? Precisely, the opposite. I find here a modern ballad with a perfect execution by Sanna...

I think Sweden can win again this year, the competition is not very strong. I'm almost sure she'll get at least a top ten finish.
