I hear ya, well as long as it's about taste it's understandable but it seems like some people are like "oh it's contemporary, then it's bad, I'm above that"...

But then it becomes a bit weird liking extremely safe conventional stuff like "Undo"...

"Undo" and "Survivor" were both safe and conventional songs but I surprised myself this year by liking them both. In this case it was all to do with the strong interpretations of the songs. Sanna and Helena are both very charismatic performers and they can turn something that's standard into an enjoyable song and performance.

I know it's not a personality contest but it undoubtedly does come into play with all of us. We like and support songs because we warm to the artists.. in the same way an artist can put you off a song *cough cough* Hungary 2013

I agree about that, but when people starts with explaining their dislike in music because it's "modern and contemporary" then it seems more of a statement of some sort rather than just liking or disliking something.
Well yes, but those kind of opinions could also be that they just don't like the type of sound or the kinds of genres that are currently modern and contemporary.

Fair enough, but it sounds like my father "everything modern and new is bad"

Frankly, I couldn't care less about the persons (as long as they aren't mass-murders, pedophiles or stand for something I think is remotely wrong ), other than that it doesn't effect me liking or disliking a song tbh xshrug

I prefer "Busy Doin' Nothin'" but "Undo" is still a decent entry for Sweden.

Moment of silence for the two songs of the Melodifestivalen that would have been #1 in my list by far if they would have been chosen.

Currently downloading the Melodifestivalen 2014 album. Linus, CajsaStina and EKO, I am going to play the $hit out of you! :D

I've been playing the **** out of Sanna, Alcazar, JEM and Linus for almost a week now.

And d'ya know what else - the one song on the MF 2014 album that always catches me by surprise and gets me going everytime to comes on? Linda Bengtzing - Ta Mig. That was definitely the most under-appreciated song from this year's contest for me. :(

Yeah but come on, we grow close to the Eurovision artists over the months leading to May. If the person is nice you generally get behind them even more.. kind of like when Kaliopi was at Eurovision a couple of years ago. I fell in love with herxheat

Sanna just seems a lovely girl and it's wonderful to see her rewarded after 7 attempts. Ace seemed very gracious in defeat as well so she gets a gold star and a rose from me tooxrose
