Re: SWEDEN 2014

Oh come on Margerita... Yes, we CAN definitely qualify with "Undo" ;) Come on...really?????

People said the same about Anna Bergendahl, I was one of them but look at the results it got. Chances are we could miss it again.

But it's not crap, but some people have their mind stuck in the 80's ESC years and apparently those people dominated the televoting tonight xshrug
You're still stuck on sound it seems. I'm talking about songs. Busy Doing Nothing has a crap melody, and when it comes to the chorus there's no melody at all. I don't let trends dictate what good music is. Good music is good music, regardless of the sound.

Iggy is a fresh name, Sanna's ballad we've heard in different versions in 30 years or more xshrug

It's one thing to like one or the other, but to say that Sanna isn't cliché and Ace is cliché is just out of touch

At no point did I say Sanna isn't cliche - she is very cliched. But at least she isn't trying to copy another even more irritating artist who's already known worldwide. The bad thing is that I don't actually dislike Busy Doin' Nothin', but I guess I've just been swayed a little by the really odd feverish support that it's gathered and the tags that it's "so fresh" etc. etc.

Ace Wilder needs time to find her own identity - tell her to come back in a couple of years. ;)

But this is indeed a generation gap, my father who is from a whole other generation would argue similar "there's no melody"...

It's a shame, MF is my favourite national selection but it's always ruined by rubbish results! :(

CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!

I'm shocked that Ace won the jury vote though but nevertheless CRAP!

We could have had a cool refreshing entry but we'll be stuck with this cliché ballad... and it was SOOO close

CRAP!

Can't blame the juries now, can you?

5 points for a very dull song. Sweden will be lucky to make the final with this.

Sanna may have had a ballad but it sounds a rather contemporary power ballad. Everyone was hailing Ace as some unique saviour of Melodifestivalen when the truth is, she had yet another electronic pop song. The sound of her song has been everywhere for the past few years. She's hardly revolutionary. She got to number 1 in the charts for a reason, because she has an accessible pop song.

Ace losing to Sanna who's finally got her win after 7 attempts isn't a huge tragedy. Maybe if Ace had some kind of deep, exquisite, experimental composition then it might be. She had yet another brattish mainstream pop song that blends into everything else currently poisoning the music airwaves.

Iggy known world-wide?? What?? Most people are clueless on who she is plus this sounds nothing like hers... only the "work" bit but it's not as if Ace is trying to be the female Eminem, she's not rapping or anything ...

Not my kind of entry but still a very good, powerful ballad in its style that will be many people's favourite. I'd be happier with Ace winning, but Sanna is a much safer choice for Sweden. Ace would probably struggle, her vocals were dangerous.
This is guaranteed top 10, likely top 5. Juries will see to that if nobody else will.
