Ar you kidding? The Master Ball was the only good part of that performance.

All my nostalgic childhood memories from this series can never be restored again, all because of Saade's blasphemic abuse of the masterball in his performance. :(

Fair enough.
I don't really see how that list justifies anything though, because in that case a lot of countries should react like the Swedish fans do, that applies to this year as well as previous years. I for one probably would've reacted a lot more humbly if Denmark ever was to be predicted winner of a forthcoming ESC (not that it'll ever happen). Let's take Cyprus, they've had nothing but ****-results in the past but they don't even react remotely like you do.

Sweden has been no more laughing-stock than UK, Spain, Cyprus or Lithuania have, but you don't see Cyprus or Spain go all religious anyway. There's absolutely no reason to feel self-piteous.

What are you talking about :confused::confused::confused:?

Give me a break, you're actually furious over something very important to you. I cannot interpret you in any other way. Sorry to be completely oblivious, but can you give some examples of this Swedish intrusive and distressing manners? There must be some specific details that got you fuming.

I think moop and the others explained really well what our happiness with Loreen is all about. If you cannot share that, please keep your thoughts to yourself unless there are some specific details or facts on your mind.

Now you're just picking a fight. That or you haven't actually read my post. Denmark doesn't have as much to prove as Sweden. You've gotten Top 5 twice in the past two years, only dipped below 18th place three times in 12 years (2002, 2004, 2007) (two of those due to not qualifying for the final) and have generally enjoyed middling results. Overall, Denmark's done pretty well in the past several years, especially 2005-2011, the Dark Years in Sweden's Eurovision history.

And really, who cares how you think the Danes would or would not act were they big favourites to win? Who cares if you think people should be humble? In my opinion, false modesty and humbleness is worse than (over-)confidence, because then you both know/think you're good, yet you pretend not to just to gain sympathy.

The United Kingdom and Spain don't actually care about Eurovision that much. Lithuania has never cared much either, judging by what they send. Cyprus has done pretty badly in the past, yes, but I have no clue how popular Eurovision is in Cyprus.

Moop's post was what triggered my reaction because I found his views arrogant, and his personal attacks seemed pretty uncalled for. So I guess you could count in him/her as part of my evil crusade. I usually keep myself out of topics of songs I don't like or have nothing relationship to at all. Not that I hate Loreen, I personally find her song to be quite bland but it has been hyped to an extent that has made it unbearable. The Swedish superiority complex this year is something I'm fed up with, and I'm sure I share these feelings with many others.

FallenAngel then claimed that Sweden had been a laughing-stock all the way through, and that's where I disagree. Sweden has been in pretty much every final possible, so looking at your back-catalogue the last ten years (which has all in all been a success imo) I don't really see any valid explanation on why Sweden should feel more self-piteous than most other countries' fans. At the end of the day my agenda in this topic was advocating another way to process or show your excitement, and that's why my critique is aimed at the Swedish fans (or well, some of them). I know it may sound über-dull and politically correct but that's at least how I feel.

As you may have figured out by now I'm just as prisoned in the claws of Jante like Dessi is. :p

You are all nutters on this page, and the fact that you are all, and Loreen, strutting around with your arrogant attitudes is the reason why I will piss myself laughing on Saturday if Sweden doesnt win. Pretty sure many others feel the same. Afterall, being all Swedes you're gunna have a bit of a problem getting votes from the rest of us :D. Im officially going to head an ABS party - anybody-but-Sweden - on Saturday, cheer for anybody but Loreen!
Sh*t song, sh*t singing, dances like she's sexually frustrated, oh dear :'). This is what Sweden considers good?

In 2008, we were the Jury Save (12th with televoters). In 2005, 2007-2009, we were 19, 18, 18, 21. In 2010, we didn't make the final (11). People overrate making the final. Making the final, doesn't mean much if you end up Bottom 5 or Bottom 5-ish. Also, in 2005 and 2007, we didn't have to qualify to the final due to having finished Top 10 in 2004 and 2006. If we'd been in the semi-final, we probably would've dropped out.

Telling people to not voice their pride is politically correct now?

No Name and MyHeartIsYours, please start your own thread called
Why I have this grudge over Swedes and why I hate Sweden plus everything that is even remotly blue and yellow.

A feed for a common habitual anti-Swedish general dislike that is rooted in envy, rejection and grudge.

Hardly a grudge against Swedes, a grudge against offensive and arrogant people though yes. I do apologise to A-lister, and other nice Loreen supporters on here, but the fact is that my judgement is true for the majority of Loreen supporters here.

Nope, never said that. I said there are different way of voicing your pride but the way it has been done in certain Swedish fan-groups isn't something I'll ever be a big fan of. You can be proud of your country while still being excited and modest about it. The way it's happened on this forum has been out of proportions though.

But at the end of the day it's really not my business so I probably shouldn't care so much as I do. Just don't act surprised if it backfires some day.

All Swedes except "A-lister and other nice Loreen supporters" are offensive and arrogant people? Let's see, am I A-lister and other nice Loreen supporters or the other Swedes? Can I choose which group to belong to? In that case I'm one of the others, an offensive and arrogant people .

Seriously, can the haters just get the hell out of here?
No-one forces you to like or vote for Loreen, and the rest of us that appreciate the Swedish entry don't need your crap in here.

Why are people so obsessed with modesty? Also, there's a difference between pride and malicious hostility towards everyone else. I don't see why people should be discouraged from saying things like "I love 'Euphoria. I think we'll win. We've got the best entry this year." and "Euphoria is great. All other entries suck! They suck, suck, suck!".

Why are you even here? Don't you have something more productive to do with your life than being a bitter little twat? I'm soooo sorry we didn't vote for a pretty boy, as those (and UK entries) seem to be the only kind of entries you can support.

You can say a lot of things about Sweden this year, but **** singing, really? Are you tone-deaf or just trolling? She sings better than your old avatar, Didrik Solli-Tangen. She's one of the best singers this year. The only possible way for one to think she's a bad singer would be to judge her ability solely on the Melodifestivalen Final performance, for which she was ill, but you've most probably seen her other performances and are just knowingly lying/trolling.

Wow, you just sound like a really bitter person who knows Sweden's in it to win it but can't stand it because you dislike the song and are now relegated to just lying through your teeth to discredit the entry. I'm soooo sorry we didn't vote for Danny or Andreas Johnsson.

By the way, Mr. "Singing ability is really important":
"Last year I obviously wanted the United Kingdom to win, and I thought we would" - Uh... half of those guys were pretty bad live and none of them hold candle to Loreen.
"One Direction - One Thing" (in the "What tune are you listening to"-thread) - Half those guys can't really sing either. All of them, are worse than Loreen by miles. They can harmonize well, though, I'll give you that, but they'd never make it as solo artists.
"Aside from Engelbert, Norway is still by far my favourite entry! Good luck, much more deserving to do well than Loreen! xcrossed" - No comment needed.

How credible you are!

So why isn't it possible to say I don't like Loreen? I don't HATE her nor do I HATE the song, but to me it's absolutely vacuous. So please grant me my opinion.

Last year I wrote (in this forum!) that I liked Eric Saade very much. A bunch of Swedes replied that Saade - to them - was absolutely terrible and they couldn't understand why Sweden choose him.

This year I write I don't like Loreen and another buch of Swedes - maybe the same - write how I dare saying something like that and that Loreen is absolutely fabulous.

So you guys seem to be quite passionate when it comes to Eurovision! :p

So changing the subject -

Apparently Loreen might be changing back to her old outfit....

Because of the "fan-out roar" on the internet.

Well, apparently this really is a problem for some in the forum. They actually have a grudge against Swedes for real. Why this is remains a totally mystery for me. Personally, I don't have such feelings to any groups.

So, we hear about these load, arrogant, annoying and totally unbearable Swedish fan-groups. In my mind I see hordes of drunken Swedish teenagers in Zell-am-See, Mallorca, Copenhagen or whatever. I just haven't seen them on the ESC sites. Maybe it was another year or I am looking at the wrong sites or I simply don't see it?
