I guess over-hyped in this context means that this song has too much fuzz around it and everybody takes it as a 1000% winner already, which is annoying :D
I have the same feeling now)
Aha, how does it feel then. Is it a green stomach ache maybe? Or maybe a slow increase of more red pouring down from the head?

1000%? You must be djoking! Noone could get that much procent.

edit:
fuzz? I used to have a FUZZ-box to my guitar, but it never got over-hyped. At least what I know.
Now I've throw it away because the sound was too cheap.

Of course it was an exaggeration :D
The feeling is "i don't wanna listen to that song anymore and furthermore, i don't want it to win not because it's bad (it's actually great) but because too much talking going on around it" )

OK, now I get it. (I think). You actually want the song Euphoria xcheer xcheer xcheer by Loreen xcheer xcheer xcheer to win Eurovision 2012. xcheer xcheer xcheer You just don't want to hear or read about it - OK, that's it. Am I right?

But why? Why don't you want your own song to win?

No, you got me wrong i don't want the song "Euphoria xcheer xcheer xcheer by Loreen xcheer xcheer xcheer to win Eurovision 2012" because i don't want an ESC voting to be boring, if she wins that will be the most boring voting since 2009 with a clear leader right from the beginning. I want excitement, i want to bite my nails shouting come on! Come on! when the last countries announce the results with only 10-15 points of difference between places 1 to 3 :D

Loreen is amazing, magical, her staging is one of the kind and she deserves to win it fare and square but i can name other 3-4 entries that deserve to win as much as she does but just not getting the same fuzz around them, so i want a "Wow, is it true?? That's awesome!" instead of "Sweden won? What a surprise *yawn*" in the end. I hope that answers your question ;)

Why i don't want my own song to win? Babushki? The song doesn't deserve to be a winner, that would not be fair to other amazing entries imo :)

OK Odalis, you won, I give up. ****, that was a lot of sheering!! I promise to stop sheering Loreen from now on. Scouts honour.

But please, it is so much fun to report her progress at home. What she eats, what she says, what others says about her, new remixes, gorgeous pictures, tabloid gossips, you know ... the works! After all, we love her so much you know. We've never felt like this before. So, please let us publish at least 1 post/day. Please?

I think for a long time, except for the topic, no one writes about the victory of Sweden. Do not like it - do not go into this topic.

And I'm sure the vote will not be boring, because in Sweden this year, a lot of strong contenders, just for me Euphoria better than others.
This theme was created to discuss Loreen and she inflated the same way as other topics. The difference is that in Sweden this year, more fans.
And though I hate Russia this year, I think Babushki - one of the top contenders Loreen.

In general, countries such as Sweden's attitude to this year is observed only in this forum. At the other end there are those who do not like Loreen is not at all, but they are few and they are so fiercely did not pour it with dirt!

This applies to anyone who is indignant about our admiration and desire to win for Sweden in this topic. For this theme was created.
It's nothing personal.

yeah, but i kinda get what the others are saying. you can't get away from Sweden's song if you are anywhere near Eurovision themed boards: signatures, voting, ppl bring this up in other national threads.
i'm not that fed up with the song... yet lol
but i've been known to have negative reaction to over-hyping. it took me probably a year an a half to get to watching Shrek because how everyone was raving about it  good thing (kinda) that i was total "incommunicado" due to work and school when POTC came out. loved it, but probably wouldn't have watched it if i was hearing about it left and right.

i had a correct approach to Eurovision. i stayed away from all the boards until all the countries (or vast majority) picked their songs. then i went on youtube listened to all of them, drew my own conclusions, and only then started BSing on different boards
it's not my favorite due to huge bias towards Zeljko (that man can come on stage and sing scales for all i care and i will give him 12 pts lol) but it is in my top 3.
so yeah, i'm not annoyed by Sweden, but i can totally see how some people might be :)

I take it as a bad omen, when ppl keep hyping about how good a song is and how it will win. Sure it's a good song in my opinion, I like it, but let's not make any conclusions about if it will win or not. Other songs have been strong favorites in previous years and have failed to win. It comes down to culture and personal taste, and Euphoria might not be in everybody's taste. We just have to wait and see who the winner will be.

I hope Euphoria will win, but I would really hate to see a landslide victory. One of the things I await the most in the ESC is the vote: if it's lopsided from the start, it'll spoil all the fun. 1988 and 2003 are SOOOOOO much fun in comparison with 2009, the most extreme example.

I repeat, I personally do not claim that Sweden win, I just want this very much as ever and all.

If someone is not happy with my signature, in which I ask to vote for Loreen in the semifinal (would have been confident of victory - not asked to), in modern browsers have a feature off of pictures on the page.
I also do not like a lot of things, but I close my eyes to it, because I find other uses for this forum, than yell at each step of a song "OVERRATED!" or "UNDERRATED!"

I wouldn't worry about the overexposure as the vast majority of viewers will hear Euphoria for the first time.

There is a reason why Sweden is No 1 in the odds cause it has mass appeal and stands out for many fans. Of course we have had similar claims in the past. I wouldn't compare Sweden's hype with France last year as it wasn't as big of a fan favorite but I vividly remember 2008 and how Charlotte Perelli was proclaimed the winner 2 months prior to the contest by the fans. And those who were around remember it was almost identical with the attitude from lovers and haters alike. It's like a big Deja vu for me.

The song doesn't lose any appeal to me because the majority of fans love it and push hard to promote it even further. It just gets old when people just "know" it's going to win. Comments such as "This one is going to win 100%" or "Mark my words, it's the winning song" are incredibly stupid as the last time I checked we don't have a time travel machines. Loreen could lose her voice, pull a UK 2003 and sing off key, forgeget the words to her own song, trip and fall off the stage, gets hit in the head by a stage light or gets lost in traffic and won't show up on time for her performance.

While those things are not that likely to happen, you just don't know for sure.

Oh and one more thing: While the televote is a whole lot more predictable, the jury votes could make a world of a difference as well.
