To continue my monologue about future Loreen music:
During interviews at Melodifestivalen 2011, Loreen said she wanted to release good single songs instead of albums. However, in an interview during release of
Sober in early autumn 2011, she revealed that she already got an album ready for release. This album must have been postponed in favour for work with
Euphoria. In recent interviews she has said that there is some hard studio work ahead before performance in Baku. So, it's very likely Loreen will release an album in conjunction with the ESC events in Baku. There is also a single called
If She's The One waiting for release.
Now, as much as I love
My Heart is Refusing Me and
Euphoria, I dislike
Sober. I hate that cheap synth struttling - terrible. It seems like a very rushed and careless production. These 3 songs are pretty much everything we know about Loreen music style. The instrumental
Euphoria is interesting and really shows how much work and thoughts they put down in the song.
So what to expect in the future album? More of Sober-like fillers to
Euphoria? Dance Loreen style?
Me, I want a heavier beat to match the powerful voice. In a way that we can
revel in great singing, crawling on the walls.
edit:
Imagine
Sober with a strong deep beat and without that struttling Prydz cutoff sound synth. Could be magnificent!
