Meh, basic logo and slogan sounds like a prequel to "The Bold and Beautiful"

Generally I am team #NoSlogans as they are all cringe in various ways.

Ok now it's official. I like the logo, it looks super nice and the colours are different to the basic blue/purple we've come used to for literally the past +5 years. The beauty of sound would be far far better as a slogan. Perhaps the graphic is somewhat basic, but i don't think it's any worse or better than whats been presented in previous years

Oh no this is the biggest disappointment of the season so far. The font is completely awful and doesn’t fit to Eurovision at all, the slogan is more a Biennale slogan than a Eurovision one an all in all I cringe a lot when reading it, the Logo an colours are very basic and don’t fit together at all… I expected SO much more from you :it:!

"The beauty of sound" and "The sound of beauty" are two different concepts and not interchangeable, tho. "The sound of beauty" is a synesthesia (rhetorical figure) and refers to the fact that Italy is always associated with "beauty" (art, music, etc.), so the meaning here is pretty clear. I really like that they used a poetic saying that represents well the country where Eurovision is held.

However, the avalanche of criticism I'm reading around about this graphic concept confirms to me once again that Eurovisual fandom has become among the most toxic in the world (perhaps along with Drag Race fandom). They believe they have the titles to judge anything, they feel obliged to complain if things don't come when they say they will, as if organizing a Eurovision means having to meet the expectations of fans, their wishes and above all the times that they dictate, we don't know based on what needs and titles.

I don't get the point of your comment, so any criticism by the fans is forbidden?

The new graphic and slogan of Eurovision 2022?

Actually the part I dislike the most beside the font is the green colour they used for the slogan... It reminds me way too much of a 70's bathroom colour!

Btw the Moroccanoil logo is way too big...

The green colour is very trendy nowadays.
That kind of green is very fashionable.
Have a look at the interiors of Prada s showroom in Milano.
I totally agree with the fact that the eurovision Fandom has become very toxic, pretending to be expert for everything

I don't care if the green is trendy in any Milanese showrooms or if you call it "fashionable", it's just not my taste at all. I only expressed my opinion, not more not less. I never called myself an "expert for everything. ;) I have the same right to express my opinion as every other Eurovision fan...

You :it: users behave quite childish, defending the slogan and the design like nothing else. It's not about your country or anything, i still love :it: haha.

I didn't defend anything. As an architect I just explained that kind of green is trendy and gave a real example.
It's obvious that is a question of personal taste. Someone has a good taste someone does not.

Absolutely not, there are ways and ways to express criticism and opinions should never be banned. It wasn't based on your comment, anyway, but in general on many things I read on social, like Twitter. It's one thing to say, I don't like the logo, I would have done it another way etc., it's another thing to start writing really aggressive and nasty stuff, pointing the finger at the hosting nation, wishing it would never win again, imagining how the management of the event could be based simply on a logo or a slogan and other terrible things I happened to read in these two days that have nothing to do with Eurovision. It seems that many Eurofans are waiting for any news to pour suppressed anger, this I find absurd. This is what I call a toxic attitude.

One thing I understood by attending this forum, never contradict the Austro-Hungarian-Prussians, anything south of the alps is questionable! eheheheh

Rai reveals Eurovision 2022 stage design: 'The Sun Within' ☀️

TODAY, 14:59 CET
Rai, the host broadcaster for the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, has unveiled the impressive stage our 41 artists will be performing on in Turin this May.

Acts can look forward to taking to The Sun Within – an ambitious new stage concept based on the movements and light of a kinetic sun (as teased last month).
Eurovision fans will witness a spectacular stage with the ability to showcase theatrical motion, which is framed by water and will have a lush Italian garden lapping up the rays in front of it.
