At the winner’s press conference, RTVE revealed the results of the Benidorm Fest televote. Melody had a decisive victory with 39%, followed by Daniela Blasco with 18% and J Kbello with 13%. An impressive 223,094 votes were cast via the mobile app, while 17,422 came through texts or phone calls. Like it or not, the viewers had a clear favorite.

Well, the Benidorm final was weak for me (although I don’t quite understand the hatred towards it), but I believe that for a regular Spaniard, it was a good Saturday night show. For Madrid fans, it was a great way to relieve stress after that defeat against Espanyol.

Benidorm has finally improved a lot in terms of the voting system, and that deserves to be applauded (Terra would have won in 2022 this way).

Lachispa, unfortunately, will be (if not the biggest) one of the biggest disappointments of the season. She improved compared to Semi 1, but it clearly wasn’t enough.

I understand that Melody is called outdated and past her prime, but honestly, she delivers very well and will be a good moment in May. I’m happy about this and for her.

I don’t know for how long, but for now, it’s my guilty pleasure, and I’m giving it 7 or 8 points (I’ll decide tomorrow).

Well, thank heavens for this outcome. If Spain were going to come bottom 3 in 2025 (and they would have with everyone in this final group), then at least they went for a song I like and enjoy :-)

I love her, shes giving it her all, its probably going to be a bit too much for the casual esc viewers tho. Comes off as a bit desperate in parts ( you dont need to make a helicopter with your hair Melody )

Watching the recap I have to say that it’s even more obvious there that J Kbello would have been the only reasonable choice.

Everything else is more or less dated trashy stuff.

Selena was a rabbit caught in headlights, and Sonia just seemed to run out of breath halfway through. But I still wished they made it through the the final for the nostalgia.

I still can't get over it. Have rewatched those 5 seconds more times than I care to admit, just iconic! It does vaguely make sense when you put it in the context of visually representing something that is stronger than a hurricane as per the lyrics I guess.

And on the topic of J Kbello, the issue for me wasn't the song and I quite liked the dark club staging and performance, it was his vocals. He sounds like he's sharp all the way through the first verse, and only really comes back down closer to the key in the first chorus. He also forces most of his voice through his upper mouth and nose, so it comes off sounding very weird to my ears. I didn't notice this in the studio version so much, so not sure if it was a choice made for the lives to sing that way - it was the biggest thing that put me off that track.

It doesn't amazes me but I don't dislike It. It is kinda a mid entry with noughties Eurovision vibe in It. I don't know if this can be a good or bad sign, but for now it's a .

I'm not sure where she promised it, but i've read a couple of comments saying she promised that she would do the helicopter thing in the final and that it was an homage to Rosario Flores, not to Slavko

Well.... it's is super trashy and mediocre and weil be bottom 5. But she does sell it and I am somehow happy she is here.
