I'm grateful that Benidorm Festival made me discover Maria Peláe! I already have her latest album and it's already on replay!

Good luck Spain.
Horrible choice.
For sure you're not going to win this year.

Apart from Jorge, all songs have written Botom 5 in televoting all over it - the winner included.
Zorra already is kinda iconic, though. St. Pedro might have got some jury votes in May but overall, :es: didn't really have any "real options" to perform well in May.

Hint: Virginia is not my name
I enjoy the camp of Zorra and think it's a nice song that I can easily sing along with. Definitely one of the songs I was ok with winning tonight, EXCEPT...

There's no way the EBU is gonna let this fly. The lyrics are too vulgar for their "family show". If Maneskin can't say "cazzo", Nebulossa surely can't say "zorra". Interested to see what happens these next few days. But to be clear, I'd love to see Spain represented with Zorra as-is. ¡Viva España y viva la zorra!

I refer you to my earlier comment about Alfred & Amaia and Rodolfo Chiquilicuatre. The Spanish televote is lucky to be allowed 25%.

But's a new era now - televoting in Eurovision is also very different to what it used to be and to be fair, Rudolfo's kinda iconic, too :D

What was the last time Spanish televote pick did well at Eurovision?

I am not impressed with these results, but overall selection was not too exciting for me anyway.

10/10 for me, i listened it a lot before the show.

But unfortunately, europeans viewers might think "Spain sends a lady singing disco ? That's so has-been from them" :/

For Malmø they need a nob-stoned costume designer otherwise the dancers should go on strike. :ROFLMAO:

Zorra is an elevating 90's dance hit. Melodic and catchy. Nothing special, but I doubt it would hit bottom 5 in the Grand Final.

She needs a different staging though.

P.S. Reminded me now of Modern Talking, the Germans will know

The EBU will not allow "zorra" - so the song has to be fundamentally changed (and the question remains if the public had voted for it otherwise).
Also, the EBU will not allow the male dancers' outfits either... (e.g. :de: 2009)
and some dance moves have to be changed as well (e.g. :al: 2021)

They can still make it iconic and camp but they have to massively tone it down.

why?

as for the outfits and dance movements - have seen them a hundred times with women, so....
(I still find the outfits tasteless)
