I can understand dramatic changes in May, but right now, when we know nothing new about the entries.

That's the point. Most years we have a clear order of favourites even at this stage. But the market is panicking because it doesn't know who to back. Literally half the field could win at this stage.

I think this year is quite similar to 2011. Does anyone remember what was the situation like back in 2011 (in terms of odds)? Was :az: favorite to win before the final?

Nope it actually was France if I remember correctly. Estonia and Hungary were up there to. Azerbaijan was somewhere around 10th with the odds.

I had forgotten what real laughter felt like before I saw this. Frankly you could've left it at "Say Yay (Acoustic Version)" and had me on the floor in stitches, but that delivered on another level. It's just so...misguidedly earnest. Must-see TV. Of the eight songs that I'd put in the bin without a second thought this year, this one is emerging as my favorite because I get the sense, unlike Lighthouse X/Joe & Jake/Frans/Freddie/Minus One/Donny/Nicky, that she's taking the emotions of the song seriously, even if that's so not what's called for. I can't help but admire that perversely.

An accoustic version? Alrighty, then, not the kind of song you'd expect that from. But hey, at least it just reminds us what an amazing singer Barei is.

Everyone knows me as the ballad lover, there is nothing better than a heart wrenching song that makes me wanna go Awwwwww. However, this year my Top 5 is full of upbeat entries and Spain is one of them. I just can't stop listening to it. Lyrically, well not something John Lennon would approve of. But it's one of the few real dance songs this year so I think Barei has a good chance of entering the Top 10 next month.

Spain is already in the top 10 of the betting odds. I think it did not happen since Pastora Soler.

You know what's one thing I've noticed? That Spain has a cycle of doing good/meh one year, doing bad next year, doing good/meh the next year, and so on.

I mean:
2010: 15th
2011: 23rd
2012: 10th
2013: 25th
2014: 10th
2015: 21st

Given how Barei's song is, I'm fairly confident that the cycle will continue this year :)

this song is so stupid i love it. She seems very genuine and likeable. Spain need to have a catchy dance routine (more than the foot steps) to make it interesting and they can expect a good ranking in May.

Again Spain is the best entry in ESC but of course the diaspora will give the 1st place to Russia...

That's the song which was rejected for the National Final.

Which one do you prefer? Who plays the drums or Say Yay?

Sweden was a favourite in 2011 too.

Why just why did they have to "fix" the song? The first version (WITH the Spanish despite the fact she was never going to use it in ESC) was much much better. Why did they have to add all that noise? And those extra vocals... uh! The ONLY positive change is that Barei actually sings some of the "say yay yay yay" and it's not sung only by the backing vocalists.

Can I be honest and admit that the main reason that I love this entry is because Barei's such a charismatic and nice person?

Like, the way how she acts outside the contest, being nice to everyone is really charming and sweet, and it honestly makes the song better for me.

I'm not a fan of this song mostly because it's so overrated & overhyped by a lot of people. It's not the worst thing I've ever heard but I think it sounds childish & kinda funny.Usually I love Spain but this year I don't.If Ruth Lorenzo didn't end up in top 5 in 2014 then I doubt Barei will.Honestly, Say Yay is not winning material but I don't want it to flop.
