I became a bit affraid now, since I read Edurne's interview where she said that Xuso Jones is one of the better candidates to represent Spain. And let's not forget they were in the same season of TCMS. 1 xslap(O)

Shocked to see Barei (who is completely unknown in Spain) topping the charts Thay says a lot!

BTW We know the jury for the final: Carlos Marín (Il Divo), Edurne and ....... Loreen!!!! (I hope she's better at picking succesful entries than other Eurovision winners, aka Ruslana )
There will be an international jury as well, but I don't know how it will work.

I liked how Belgium chose their international jury. They chose the country who had given them the most 12 pts in the last 10 yrs, the country who had given them the most total pts in the last 10 yrs, the country who on avg. has given the most pts. to the eventual winner in the past 10 yrs., the country who has given the most 12pts to the eventual winner in the past 10 yrs and 2 countries who hadn't voted for them in the past 10 yrs. That way you get some who like you, some who know their winners and some who haven't liked your songs. I think it helps choose a song that could do well and not just Spanish people will like plus it gives them a wink wink to give you votes.

If Edurne is saying that she likes Victorious by Xuso Jones and Loreen is another judge who won with a song from one of the composers of Xuso's song, does that mean that Xuso has it in with the international jury?

Well being #1 on iTunes in the week leading up to the national final is super promotion and gives her a lot of momentum going into the national final.

Why is Say Yay getting all the attention and why is it even #1 of the itunes charts? I don't know what's so special about this song.. I'm totally rooting with Xuso! Victorious is just awesome (although it's nothing new)!

I agree with the fact that making a number 1 on iTunes is not impressive at all, but that confirms that Barei is the clear favorite to win the national final (she's winning the Spanish poll, has the best reviews, more likes on Youtube). I also like Xuso Jones but let's be realistic, his song smells like bottom. And for those who think Maria Isabel is great, I bet most of the countries won't vote for her.
This year we must send something different. No more Swedish songs, no more latin songs, no more ole ole! Spain is not only that!

Considering Barei is a relative unknown in Spain I think #1 on any kind of charts is impressive

This is my only misconception with the song - I love the progression through the verse and bridge, but then the chorus is a bit flat and like you said, the cringe-factor with the "hurray" and "yay" instead of yeah - just seems a little JESC which isn't really my bag...
