Xuso and those three girls are really good, but I don't feel flawless vibes in both others boys' songs... :/

Re: SPAIN 2016

I think it should be Barei. It's the better of the songs, but she would need to bring some energy on stage because the song kind of goes flat towards the end.

Xuso's song would be great, but it sounds just like last year's winner. (at least in the same style)

I personally love the Maria Isabel song, but (and it's a big but) Europeans are not into the flamenco-y, Spanish sound. If it goes to Eurovision, it's going to do really poorly, even though it's probably the best song.

Electric Nana is cool, in that it's different, but I think it's tooo diferent for Eurovision. It would need soooo much work in staging and reworking the song.

Salvador Beltran's song has the same problem that Maria Isabel has. It's too Spanish, plus too Juanes.

Maverick's song is like being in a cheesy bad "Mexican" restaurant in Sweden or some other country that doesn't know Mexico. It's what white people think of when they think of Mexican music. It's bad and I had such high hopes for the Latin beat, specially because balkan countries love Reggaeton and stuff like that and they never vote for Spain.

Victorious has been in the top 10 of the iTunes charts since it was released. I hope either Barei or him are chosen. I can't see Maria Isabel even reaching the top 10 in Stockholm.

Re: SPAIN 2016

I don't get the hype with María Isabel. I would like to send some Mediterranean bit to Eurovision, but a good one and this one is okay, but it really doesn't stand out in its genre.

+ The song was released a couple of months ago and it got completely unnoticed in Spain. Why should we think "La vida es sólo una" will get in ESC in 3 minutes what it wasn't able to get in its own country in months?
If we choose this song we're condemned to the bottom-5. Thank God it's probably gonna be Barei or Xuso.

^ I also don't understand the hype about LVSEU. xshrug There are better songs in the preselection, but everyone seems to vote for names, not the songs. I've noticed a similar pattern on the ESC-sites where I write - many votes for MI without listening to the song.

no. It could it not be possibly that people actually like the song? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that everyone else only voting for the name. This is song is quite well known in the eurovision community. I've seen it pop up in a lot of esc style contests so most already know it.

Ok, let's face it. If a no-namer sings this song, will it be praised? Off course it won’t. Just like "Chameleon". If Jessika (an example) sung it instead of Ira Losco, it would be in the middle of the table. And TBH, she has a new, fresh released album and she's entering with a song that already flopped in Spain?

Maria Isabel isn't just bring the Mediterranean vibe to proceedings though - it has modern pop elements as well that I think would carry it further beyond the Med region. It could really do well with the right staging, as could Barei (although that one will probably need a more spectacular show due to its sparse chorus in particular).

Re: SPAIN 2016

Shocked to see Barei (who is completely unknown in Spain) topping the charts  Thay says a lot!

BTW We know the jury for the final: Carlos Marín (Il Divo), Edurne and ....... Loreen!!!! (I hope she's better at picking succesful entries than other Eurovision winners, aka Ruslana )
There will be an international jury as well, but I don't know how it will work.
