Re: SPAIN 2016

And you base your judgment on what?

"Amanecer" was a very complicated song and she delivered it quite well. Edurne can't be considerated as the reason of the flop.

All I remember is her losing it half way through and then completely missing the high note at the end, and twitter going crazy at how bad she was. I do consider her a big part of the reason for Spain flopping, but different opinions and all that.

C'mon, Edurne was good live - especially during the Jury final and deserved a lot better result than the complete disaster she got. Honestly, I can't get what people expect and want from Spain?! They are like the only Big 5 country that respects Eurovision and takes it seriously. They are trying to keep the balance between the local sound and the mainstream music, which really has to be encouraged. The problem is not with Spain, but with all the people (including the juries) who want literally all the songs to sound alike.

Yes, she was better in the jury final, but on the Saturday she was terrible. I absolutely stand by that. As for Spain taking ESC seriously, well if that is taking it seriously, then I don't want to be around when they start taking the piss.

I also can't see what Edurne did wrong in her performance  Only the final note was a bit of a trouble, but it's normal and understandable.

Btw, one of the girls has to win this NF.

When it comes to technical aspects it's not about opinions, but okay...

I agree. Except for "respect Eurovision and takes it seriously". You just can't be talking about TVE

Anyway, despite the level is not bad, this is disappointing. There's not a single chance any of those six songs can win, not a single chance either to get a top-5 and only a couple of songs could reach the top-10 and even that will be hard. There are no reasons to be especially proud or excited this year...

Spain is a lot better than UK, France and Germany. Maybe only Italy from Big 5 enjoys better entries recently, although sometimes they tend to be a bit overrated.
As for the current lineup - all the songs are competitive and decent - maybe if we take into a consideration the current state of Eurovision, Xuso and Barei have the best chance to do well. If I have to choose between these two, let it be Barei.

My top 3
1.XUSO JONES – “VICTORIOUS” ( Feels like it will share glorious fate)
2.MARÍA ISABEL – “LA VIDA SÓLO ES UNA”
3.BAREI – “SAY YAY”
Gj spain...3 high quality songs.

Re: SPAIN 2016

It's quite a good selection even if I don't see a podium-material.

The songs that interest me the most are Say Yah, Un mundo mas feliz and La vida solo es una.

There is a "hit" potential concerning Say Yah that can do great things at Stockholm. La vida solo es una is quite addictive, even if it smells the "fan favourite that doesn't get many points". I really like listening to it frequently. Un mundo mas feliz is well produced, it has this Latin flavour open to an international audience.

Dias de alegria is good but quite too intimate in my opinion. I don't have the same hit feeling than with Un mundo mas feliz. And I'm sorry towards my Spanish friends but I can't prevent myself listening to him singing "lo bueno cagando" instead of "lo bueno cantando".
I enjoyed Now but I have this feeling of incomplete song and it is not dued to the length of it.
Victorious is not bad at all, quite well produced but the end is a bit tiresome. I don't really want to listen to it another time right now.

I cannot share the same excitment. I hear some common radio songs, decent in a shop where I'd go to buy clothing. I've just listened to the them and I can't remember one. Maybe seeing the singers live is going to change my mind.

I actually agree but I was trying not to start an argument. From a technical perspective, she was terrible. So no opinions there.

I think I am the only one loving Dias De Alegria xheat This reminds me a little bit of La Camisa Negra.

Re: SPAIN 2016

Ofc Still enjoyed them all in full listen. xheat

1. María Isabel: “La vida solo es una” xcheer
2. Xuso Jones – Victorious

3. Maverick – Un mundo mas feliz

4. Barei – Say Yay!

5. Salvador Beltran – Dias de alegria
6. Electric Nana – Now

I don't get all your negativity from this line up? It's all pretty much amazing.

Only Salvador and Electric Nana switch round from the snippets for me. There may be gaps but they're still all enjoyable. Xuso and Maria are still miles ahead of the rest though.

2. Barei xclap
3. Electric Nana xclap
4. Maverick xclap

5. Salvador Beltran :?

6. Xuso Jones
xpukexpuke

If there's any justice, Maria Isabel will storm this NF. Her song could actually do well in Stockholm, provided she can sing live.

Re: SPAIN 2016

Seriously Spain, please try and understand Eurovision. Stop sending cheesy latin pop (the usual) or people who can't sing (Edurne)! Something original would be a welcome change.

wut. spain is actually understanding eurovision, unlike many other countries, but they are criminally underrated.
