Well, I don't know where you see this support. Almost everyone bashed his entry here

Glad if there isn't the support I see.

At least we'll be avoiding another downtempo song from Spain this year. I miss the early 2000s when Spain was all about catchy dance-pop that ended in the middle of the top 10.

Dile Que la Quiero.... Para llenarme de Ti.... and foremost Dime - all great spanish entries that are still among my favourite entries!

Re: SPAIN 2016

...and back to 2016 - which could be another really good year for Spain!
The snippets are of course to short, and we still have to see the live performances - but for now this sounds VERY promising!

Dias de Alegria being my favourite so far.
Victorious could do well in Stockholm with a good show. But please do NOT send this.... way too "eurovisivo" for my taste.
Maria Isabel - I love latin-flavoured music. But La Vida Solo es Una is NOT a good representative for the genre. Maria Isabel doesnt get my cold nordic blood flowing...

Re: SPAIN 2016

For me the best is Barei and Xuxo. Ok maybe Xuxo´s song style remember us the Hero, Popular, Stay (the tipical Sweedish songs) but it seems interesting.

I dont see Electric Nana´s song as winner, but i must hear the full version.

No coment about Spanish songs, and specialy Maria´s song. Really do you understand what is saying? I dont understang her, is like she was eating a gum.

For me Barei, because Xuxo´s uptempo song is the tipical ESC dance-song, but is good too.

Re: SPAIN 2016

My verdict:

:12: Xuso Jones xheart

:10: Maverick Very Spanish, not the kind of thing I'm usually in to but I like its traditional sound

:10: Maria Isabel Absolutely love this, would be great for Spain I think :D

:8: Salvador Beltran Really like this, something I could imagine Ricky Martin singing to or something :p

:5: Barei Not bad but nothing special either

:1: Electric Nana Terrible!

Someone might have already said it, but does anyone think Maverick has a look of Bieber?

Re: SPAIN 2016

My favorite is Barei and none else really, Xuso's song dissapointed me because it sounds like Glorious/Euphoria, Maria Isabel is nothing special, neither Electric Nana, and Sebastian and Maverick are equally bad, so go Barei!! :D

Re: SPAIN 2016

OK after the full songs it has to be Barei. It's something different and it stands out. I only fear how she will deliver it live, cause the song is too complicated.

I love "Victorious". It's probably the only one that can remain in my playing list for long, but I don't think it's a good choice for Eurovision. These pop-dance songs only do well if either: 1- You are Sweden, or 2- It's a winner song, or both. A few of them usually get overrated and most of them get cruelly underrated and flop so hard. I don't remember a dance song in a med position. I'm afraid this could be the case, cause it's clear this song is not a winner or a top-5.

Electric Nana - "Now" gets a little bit repetitive in the full version, so I don't know, I think it's not my number 1 anymore. Anyway, it seems it's gonna be between Barei and Xuso, so...

Maverick.... no comments. What a waste for such a talented guy, poor him...

Salva Beltrán has a good song, perfect for Spain, but this would be a zero points in Eurovision.

María Isabel.... well, we already knew her song and it's the mehness in an ESC song. This has been her new single the last two months and it got zero attention in Spain, so why should we think it could get support from the whole Europe in 3 minutes if she didn't achieve it in her own country in two months? NEXT.

New top:
1- Barei
2/3- Electric Nana and Xuso Jones
(huge gap)
4- María Isabel
5- Salva Beltrán
6- Maverick

Re: SPAIN 2016

Good christ on a bike, the standard in the Spanish NF is utterly dreadful. As several ESC pundits have said today on twitter, it's back to Spain fighting for last place again. Electric Nana or Barei are slightly better than the other 4, but as long as that 3 minute horror show by Xuso Jones doesn't win, I don't really care.

Seriously Spain, please try and understand Eurovision. Stop sending cheesy latin pop (the usual) or people who can't sing (Edurne)! Something original would be a welcome change.

Re: SPAIN 2016

Her live performance was dreadful.

And you base your judgment on what?

"Amanecer" was a very complicated song and she delivered it quite well. Edurne can't be considerated as the reason of the flop.

Re: SPAIN 2016

C'mon, Edurne was good live - especially during the Jury final and deserved a lot better result than the complete disaster she got. Honestly, I can't get what people expect and want from Spain?! They are like the only Big 5 country that respects Eurovision and takes it seriously. They are trying to keep the balance between the local sound and the mainstream music, which really has to be encouraged. The problem is not with Spain, but with all the people (including the juries) who want literally all the songs to sound alike.
