To me, it's crystal clear RTVSLO precisely reverted to this format to have more control over who will be sent to the contest. Personally, even though I always found this system questionable, RTVSLO often supported acts with potential for Eurovision (Tinkara, Maraaya, Raiven in 2016), so I kinda trust them. It's not like they shoot themselves in the foot with arbitrary choices on a regular basis.
The question marks are: who will advance to the superfinal? and what will the viewers like? Personally, I don't want to experience another ManuElla victory.

I asked the question on this forum before, and the answer was "making a TV show helps to showcase several artists all at once, as well as promote the contest. And if viewers feel like they got involved in the selection, it's a plus."
Otherwise, they'd probably internally select someone indeed.
Narrowing down a 10-act lineup to 2 acts is obviously wanting to have a certain amount of control imo.

Maybe RTVSLO can swap the rules.
Narrowing down a 10-act lineup to 4 or 5 acts thanks to televoting and then the juries can make its work, obviously Raiven will be in the top 5 for televoting and the juries can leave win her.

Viewers would feel robbed for sure though. I know Slovenians are used to it, but that would be even more unfair.
"Well, thank you for voting. Your winner received 13,000 votes, but we're gonna pick the act ranked fifth with 876 votes, because why not?"
The RTVSLO headquarters would get burned down the day after.

-He likes both Omar Naber and Lea Sirk but at the end he chose Lea
-The songwriter is his brother. He also wrote other two songs for him
-The song in the video is from Popevka 2018
-He explained the difference between Ema and Popevka. Ema is more performance focused
-His real name is René, his brother's name is Jean, his sister's name is Rachelle. His mom wanted consistency and that's why all three of them have french names
