I haven't watched the snippet, but based on the picture posted above, it looks much more coloured than I expected. I liked the blue/silvery colour scheme of EMA, but this one may look fantastic as well. It's like they went from a "starry night" kind of vibe to a "journey in the depths of outer space" one. Not only the bluish and reddish hues actually seem to differ from the similar past backdrops we've seen before (Estonia 2009, Israel 2016, etc.), but they also are exactly what can be observed in real life in physical cosmology when wavelengths either increase or shorten and thus make some objects look a certain colour (redshift and blueshift). We love scientific accuracy!
Anyway, I'm relieved because the background looks expensive and upgraded: that's what I wanted first and foremost.
Fingers crossed for the camera angles and stuff We need a balance between closeups for intimacy and wider angles to make the most of the "outer space trip" imagery that goes so well with the vibe of the song.
By the way, to those of you who were disappointed by Zala's "quiet" vocals in EMA, it simply was a technical issue during the show. I've seen a part of the exact same performance recorded from the audience and she was perfectly audible, like in the studio version, so it's unlikely the same thing will happen in ten days.
