I was sleeping on this song before it was selected but I’m so glad that it was. There’s such a beautiful, introspective and fragile quality to this song that is too good to be overlooked. I can see it qualifying relatively comfortably despite it being one of the quieter songs and from a non-televote friendly country like Slovenia. The slightly awkward fixed gaze they share on stage is so attention-grabbing and only makes it more appealing. That said, any endeavour from Zala to engage with the camera more so as not to exclude the audience would probably benefit them.
This is the sort of sincere, atypical Eurovision song that juries ought to reward for it’s originality and understated, tasteful performance.
