You are being very bussy in this thread! :D

39 x 12!!! xyes

I just hope it won't be the same case as Maraaya who did very well in this poll and also on betting odds but flopped at ESC... :(

I find it quite funny that French seem to like our song this year. And this said, I have noticed that France almost never gives us any point. Completely overlooked by the general French population. I wonder, will this change perhaps this year?

This entry is hands down the best one out of all the released songs so far.

All I can tell you is that we will be able to vote in semi 1, let's wait and see what happens. :) I guess there could be an audience for "Sebi" here.

Regarding past years, I did vote for you whenever possible when your song was lit, but I can't do it alone. :( My love text messages to Slaya Sirksus in the grand final went directly to the bin last year. However, we French televoters gave you 2pts in the semi (not much, yet better than nothing I guess).

I noticed Zala & Gasper's official video already got about 158K views in one day  It's what their past music videos have done in six months! I'm glad they get the exposure they deserve.

Even though a lot of people complain in Slovenia that EMA is a waste of money, it is clear that it still attracts the attention of many people and that it is certainly a big promotion for a singer/artist. Think only how much money they will get from YT for clip views! Next, probably also the sale of their music must have jumped these days. These guys surely will make some money in the coming months. I am glad for them, they are very young and need it :)

I don't think the situation is the same this year as with Maraaya. We know that Maraaya flopped only cuz of their poor staging. Marjetka simply couldn't get into her head that she looked ridiculous in that stupid dress and with those headphones. As for Gašper&Zala, it feels that they are getting much more mixed reactions. People simply cannot make up their mind of which song their musical style reminds them  Anyways, I honestly don't care if they flop. I think they are cool and amazing as they are ;)

Btw, this year, I am indeed very busy in this thread. I've said/promised to myself that this year I won't be arguing with others in the Russian thread, and I won't be posting overly negative comments :)

Here is parody for you (it actually rhymes with the song title ). The translation goes like this:

I look like Adele, but I am thiner.
Is this a dress? -No, it's my sheet.
And I am nodding a lot to look cool.
The woman next to me suffers from epilepsy.
I must be careful she doesn't hit me in my head.
But watch out now, Raay is on piano!
I have my headphones on (my head),
my husband has almost the same ones.
My headphones are not allowed to fall down,
because they whisper lyrics into my ear.
Why do they bother everyone?
No-one gives me smaller ones, poor me.
(There is) also sexy laser show,
today I am not going home without the win!

I just listened the song and i still can't get into this....
I can't understand why this song can be a winner
I was waiting during the 3 minutes sth to happen but nope...It was like the song was incomplete....
I don't want to put a 0 to none so it's a 1....

ps. Although it's too early for odds and predictions but bookers seems that don't see Slovenia as a contender...
ps.2 Ula with Fridays was robbed!!!

Even if Slovenia had sent the winner, we wouldn't be bookies' favs, as Slovenia is simply Slovenia and no-one thinks we would ever win. So, saying that bookers don't see Slovenia as a contender, is ... Let's say, irrelevant.

As for Ula... Generic. It reminds of UK a couple years ago and they flopped badly. As someone observed in Slovenia, Ula sounds more and more like Marjetka from Maraaya...

I've been checking some of the reaction videos in YT - not only of Slovenia, but also of other entries. My general observation is that some are very offensive, and clearly look for that type of audience that likes to drop nasty and offensive comments. There are very few exceptions that try to be and actually manage to remain objective and fair. Today, 4 more songs are coming our way. Funny, in one month, it will be all over and we will be left only with the countdown and numerous pre-ESC concerts...

This song is so calming and relaxing. Such a magical atmosphere. It’s like the Eurovision version of ASMR xheart

This will stay in Slovene?

In two interviews right after their victory, Zala & Gasper implied they'd stick to Slovene because they love their language and thought it was even an advantage if used well.

However, Carian told us recently they were less categorical on this subject in one of their latest appearances. xshrug So it's hard to tell.

All their material is in Slovene, so I hope they'll defend "Sebi" as is.

I don't know what's going to happen with the language. 99% of chances are that they will stick to Slovenian, however, I will point out that in their interview for the RTV SLO portal, their answer in regard to language was very unspecific. It sounded to me as if they left all options open. Maybe this means that perhaps one chorus will come in English or something like that, maybe it doesn't mean anything. As far as I am informed for the time being, I'd say the song will stay as it is, ie. in Slovenian.

I gave this one a lot of listenings before trying to comment on it.

The word that sums it up for me is fragile. When I try to think of things that would represent the whole song, I think of glass mobile that makes soft noises when the wind strikes through it. I really hope they can preserve this on the stage of Tel Aviv. We had intimate entries in the past, but this one seems to me especially vulnerable, like cherry blossoms. Just one cold breeze can make them fade.
Which makes it so difficult for me to rate it - I fear to be unjust with this piece of music that I see as a very delicate entry, but that hasn't quite touched my heart really - yet(?). You know like glass mobiles are - you find them beautiful but at times their tinkle disturbs you...

the "coldness" of this song is its strength, I don't know if it's winner material but it does something for sure while a lot of the songs chosen this year are bland as fuck with a beige cherry on the cake.

This song really makes people pull out the metaphors huh, I wish I had one. I haven't seen this happen quite like that since Salvador. I also similarly see so many comments of 'this makes me dream', which I remember as well. A song that can vividly make people feel something is pretty damn powerful I guess, and this seems to do exactly that for a lot of people (and it's lovely to witness). xthink I'm so intrigued to see how it'll do.
