Lavieenrose managed to work out I'd not be for it. He wrote to me:

My problem is that nothing happens in it and it goes nowhere. There's not a moment in the song I can point my finger at and say "I like that". The piece of music doesn't bother me. It's fine to listen to. If I give it my attention though then it becomes not fine because it's a struggle. I just can't connect with it. I find it insipid which is a great shame, as of course I like getting behind indie or alternative songs at the contest. Maybe over time my feelings might change a bit. It's not a Slovenian Mercy at least, so there's a positive. Three listens of Sebi now though and I still feel exactly the same:| I do like electro/synth pop as well. Spent yesterday night listening to the new Glass Candy EP and that had me slayed.

I just watched the Kaos performance, and what a waste. That was an intriguing package. I could have had a third song for this year I actually would have given a half damn about. I have to keep reminding myself that Godhat is coming, otherwise I'd just give up on ESC 2019 and take up online Bingo or anything less frivolous. A song from quite possibly my least favourite genre of music is currently sitting 4th in my ranking. Like gosh, someone help me out.

Perfectly summed my emotions up. The song is "okay", but it leads to nowhere. No Building up whatsoever. Raiven would have been a wonderful choice or Inmate. Instead of sending a bold, daring song, Slovenia took the easy way. Sad.

Maybe I haven't yet cause there's 24 songs competing and it would actually require me giving an afternoon of my time to listen. Also, Dragana isn't there.

With this semi lame excuse It sounds better now.. xkiss

Btw i'm sorry to everybody for Dollystyling with smileys..

Okey, since I don't have "ear" for music - nor talent (but I enjoy music a lot), I must admit that I am quite surprised about what you said about the composition. From the comments on YT, I could gather a few comments saying that the song doesn't go anywhere - which is true, but there are many saying that the music is captivating and atmospheric. I am a bit confused to be honest, but from the first reactions I must say that people are actually quite inclined (and strangely we are not bottom 3 in those YT ESC top's as every year).

Hmmm, I don't know, tuorem, I actually like they are simple, without makeup, corky etc. Perhaps nothing should be changed, cuz this could actually make them stand out. Everyone goes for bombastic, kitch, over-the-top performance, and people might perhaps like this absolute minimalism combined with this ambiental etheral sound. Well, let's see what happens. But I am most certainly pleased with our choice. Hm, second year in the row. That's strange....

I didn't say everyone would like "Sebi", but lots of people - including those who weren't rooting for them originally - do recognise the merits of the song and performance.

As you said, some people will find the song boring and pointless - and that's okay - but I think it's exactly the balance between music and performance that will attract viewers first and foremost. It's not just about the song. Personally, I found the song good from day one, but there is something magical and gripping about the performance that helped me to get into the song even more, to genuinely touch me. And you know at Eurovision, one can do well (or even win) if you create a "moment": they have what it takes to create a "moment" imo.

With this presentation, they opened a window for more people to be drawn towards their song, you'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if we had comments like "I usually don't like such music, but this act is so enchanting" in a few months.

Here are the lyrics, translated to English, which I've found on YT. Actually very good translation - I can guarantee as a native speaker that they are accurate:

To yourself
When your mind is full of thoughts
you can hear how my heart beats
When your burden is heavy
you can take refuge in me
Ask what keeps me going forward
achievements and distances
Like a leaf goes with the wind and resists it
I go with the flow and resist it
REFRAIN: You can't always see the stars
stay true to yourself
don't tell me you're sorry (2x)
There are tears in your eyes
let them flow
When we have different wishes
you accept me and I accept you
Look at me everything has its meaning
Eternity and this planet are not friends
and I'm like a snowflake that waits for spring to come
REFRAIN 2x
You don't have to prove yourself
what connects us are the same tears and fear
REFRAIN 4x

I've added lyrics for you and my reply to your comment is: from your mouth to God's ears :)

So far I give it nevertheless 6 points in the poll, can climb higher or lower with time. Let's see. The song is still better than some other songs I have heard so far.

I am not so sure she was that thrilled by people's choice. Go back and read my previous post about what she said to each of the superfinalist after she had handed the trophy over...

Well seeing Raiven's bad luck it's only understandable she rooted for her. I was shocked as well she lost again.

Then again a two song superfinal will always attract anti votes.. The NF concept wasn't the best I gotta say even though I love the winner and Raiven would've been a 12 as well from me haha

Lea has taste!xheat

You actually cut the best part when she opens her eyes wide when turning toward Raiven like "Ok, WTH just happened?"

If there's one thing everyone can agree on, it's that neither Lea nor Raiven nor Zala & Gasper were expecting this result. The end of the show was really awkward.

Well, the things are getting worse hahahaha. Lea is jerking people a bit, but still I think her comment isn't appropriate :)

Lea Sirk admitted she honestly thought Raiven would win and her reaction was indeed meant as I said earlier.

I'm too tired to translate it, but here is the clip someone published on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt9W1Gtleul/
