Not so bad at all, comparing to our 09 and 10 participants. We'll see what Maja, Tabu and others have to show us... Anyway, I wouldn't object if April is sent in Germany this year, it sounds fresh, energetic and modern.

Yesterday she was a guest in a live broadcast on our national television and she said that she likes to have a special style and clothes which she feels comfortable in, so I don't think that girl wants to be like Gaga, but on the other hand it is true that people across Europe would see her as LG, though. Personally, I think that her song is a winning one, all she needs then is a good stylist and an English lyrics writer.
Anyway, in case she doesn't win we still have a new hit on our scene.

I love how if someone wears a crazy outfit, people immediately associate them with Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga isn't the first person in the world to wear outrageous outfits. :?

That's very true, in the end of the day Lady Gaga is nothing but a Madonna impersonator, but still we've seen crazy outfits exploding when it comes to female popstars generally after Lady Gaga's growing popularity, and in some cases it's obvious they're trying to copy.

April's song is a bit of alright isn't it! Slovenia could do worse than send that!
I quite like Nina's song, apart from the 'woah oh oh' parts. The chorus is very strong. Again wouldn't mind it represented Slovenia.
Omar's song is rubbish. Sorry

Totally agree with you two both But this year the jury has a very strong power as it will choose only 2 songs, in the end. I'm worried that they will see April as an imitation of LG or the song as something already seen and they won't like it. Anyway, there are maybe even better songs competing this year, so we all have to wait another two weeks to hear them all.

First of all, I agree Lady Gaga is not the first musician to wear eccentric outfits (Glam rockers, yay!) but April wears the same kind of "crazy" clothes as Gaga and in that clip even the way she moves to me looks like she's trying to impersonate her ... So yeah, for me she's still a copy - and a really bad one, too. Out of the three previews she's my least fave. Then Nina and Omar's got to be my fave. I know his song sounds kinda ... childish but for some reason he's the one who annoys me the least, hah.

I'm looking forward to hear Maja too, but every year there are performers who I expect to have a great song (and voice, of course), but then I get disappointed as they don't reach my expectations. Therefore, Maja is a great singer, the Tabu group has also very good and popular songs, but I have a feeling that everyone will be again disappointed with them. Undoubtedly, Maja has an incredible voice, but every good song isn't always the proper choice for the Eurovision.
