Actually not sadly. According to the informations that I got, they were much worse than 2012 and even 2011. 2009 was the biggest disaster when it comes to that, and it still didn't reach THAT level....but if we send another "ambitious" entry like last year, they may be

It's normal that the ratings decreased though, considering in those years Serbia failed to qualify. But in 2012 for example, the ratings must have been decent no?

^^ Yes, in 2012 they were very good. The best since 2008. But in 2013 and 2011 only ESC enthusiasts were interested even for our NF. RTS never announced the actual viewing figures for the 2011 NF and for Beosong this year, they just said that they are "incredibly low".

There is no possible debut of Kosovo, at least not at this point. They're not even a full member of the EBU. So I highly doubt that would be the reason for Serbia's possible withdrawal.

But the contest apparently still has great ratings? I read somewhere that 2013 ratings were good.

Actually ratings of final night was extremely low, final show was not in top 20 ratings for that weekend

He also noted how the football team of has terrible results in these World Cup qualifications, and yet we didn't give up from the next qualifications, so there is no reason for to pull out of ESC either. He also added that is an obligation for to be a part of this competition

That's great news.Its not just about how many watch at home but also how many watch across Europe.Serbia need to in ESC and it would be a great loss not to have them.

I'm happy to hear that but also surprised cause I was under the impression that the most recent results weren't the reason for withdrawal consideration but rather the financial situation the broadcaster is currently in.

Well, as long as they take part I don't give a flying fart....

I don't think the results are the reason. I mean Serbia's results aren't terrible. Sure they failed to qualify, but they were 11th in the semi, and they finished 2nd the year before. To withdraw because of these results would be pathetic.
The reason would probably be financial.

The long and short of it is, no country has a God given right to reach the final every year. Each country will have to accept that just getting to the final is an achievement to be proud of. Any country (other than Big Five) may come 2nd in the final one year and not qualify the following year. Simple as that, nothing to get ashamed of. We now know it's possible to go for several years of not qualifying, countries will have to accept that may happen to them. Look at Netherlands, eight consecutive years of not qualifying 2005 to 2012 inclusive, then finally this year 2013 they made it to the final, and finished 9th in the final.

There is such a great music scene in Serbia, I think, you will find a good song for next year. During the last years I mostly liked your songs and last years song wasn´t that bad, I think, the biggest problem was the outfit of the ladies. In 2012 Serbia was my winner, because of this wonderful song. I´m confident that your country will have a great song in Copenhagen.

The director of RTS, Aleksandar Tijanić,was just found dead in front of his apartment Since he was actually the one pushing to participate in Copenhagen, it is almost certain that now it will be waited for the final decision.
