Re: SERBIA 2012 - Željko Joksimović

Oh, how about that. Someone hand me a shotgun, I think I'm gonna blow my brains out. IVAN BOSILJČIĆ?! WHAT THE F?! What, Jelena cannot carry a note anymore without her precious Mr. Douche? And how about Hari and Halid? Damn, I was expecting to see winners from other national finals, but I guess that ain't gonna happen.

For the sake of my sanity, I will tune in to watch only final 5 minutes of the show. Screw this, I respect myself too much to suffer the entire thing.

Ummm ok, enlighten me about this fuzz with Ivan Bosiljčić?
Serbia hates him? :D (i had no idea who it was but now i'm curious hehe)
I will watch the whole show from the first second to the last, i love Zeljko too much to pay attention to some guests, though i will be happy to see Hari too ;)
And thank god no more Anggun, after all these national finals i cannot stand to see her anymore, she doesn't even sing live

I want to see this guy winning Eurovision someday so if his song is not good enough this year - keep on try it! Ruslana was great in 2004 but Lane moje is still my favourite ESC song.

Imo she "stole" the victory from Željko that year. It was a catchy song and powerful show vs. pure class. Better luck this year, Serbia!

Re: SERBIA 2012 - Željko Joksimović

I think Ruslana didn't steal anything from Zeljko. Simply - more ppl voted 'Wild dances' then 'Lane moje' in 2004 and that's it.

As for Ivan Bosiljcic - I really can't stand him. I think he's a poor actor, even worse as singer. At RTS he bacame a piece of furniture. There r no TV series without Ivan Bosiljcic, like it wasn't enough now we'd watch him in the ESC show. Pfff.
Next time I open my fridge there will be Ivan Bosiljcic.

^^^Word.

Ivan Bosiljčić could easily be described as mediocrity in a male form. Weak actor, weak singer, but somehow older ladies find him "cute", so he lands a role in every single soap opera produced by RTS. And of course, how could we possibly forget, he and Jelena Tomašević are the newlyweds.

Thanks, now i get it. We have some annoying mediocrities on tv as well, "a cork in every barrel", no matter what time you turn on your tv - there they are! :D It's good that it will be the first and hopefully the last time i see that guy, hope he's at least as cute as they say

@Qabadachia - No surprise, mediocrity works best in our society (and not just in ours).
Well...I'll say smth blasphemous now - but I've had enough of Jelena Tomasevic as well! I mean yeah, she's vocally great, but she had her 5 minutes of glory, now give it a rest.
I feel like RTS invited ppl that were easiest to get for this show. Then I prefer no show at all, song presentation alone would be enough. Unfortunately RTS doesn't get it, wanna create a 'spectacle' (mediocre one, ofcourse).

Well I'll tell you what I want (what I really really want, lulz): I want Beovizija back. I want to get the chance to vote for a song that I like the most. I want the right of choice. It is not fair. I mean, we all pay subscription, why can't we have our say about our entry? I am sick & tired of Tijanić's (fathead of RTS) egomania. Way too much power in one man's hand. Not only do I want the right to chose, I want to see the winners of other national finals performing on our NF. And I want to see our entry in other national finals. This sucks.

And I can't help but agree with you on JT as well. But since she was Željko's protégé from day one, I am not really surprised she'll be a part of the show as well. But of course, Ivan B. had to tag along as well. Hey, perhaps we should send him next year, huh?

Re: SERBIA 2012 - Željko Joksimović

When Zeljko, out of all people considers English for ESC, then we have a major language problem.

I can't even picture a Zeljko production in English.

He was #2 (solo) and #3, #6 with his other ESC compositions, all beautiful ethnic ballads sung in native languages which would have sounded really odd in English, and what happened? Why does he need English all out of sudden? Yeah the juries came back... no other comment on that.

Serbia is the ONLY ESC country (that I can recall atleast) which hasn't sold out to the Anglovision concept and in most cases very true and hones to their own music culture and tradition, it wouldn't at all be coincidence if all that stopped now, but still sad.

I thought Serbia was one of those countries (like Portugal and to an extent, France) who always sung in their own language?
