The thing that I really, really don't like is "slay you like an animal". I'm personally not a fan of murder as a metaphor for sex...I didn‘t follow the whole story but I just read the lyrics. People habe a problem with this?!? Really?!? Why on earth? I don‘t get it.

I guess they find it "predatory".I didn‘t follow the whole story but I just read the lyrics. People habe a problem with this?!? Really?!? Why on earth? I don‘t get it.
Wow, okay, that's a pretty significant difference. Still not my vibe, but now just because it's a little too horny, not because it's actually creepy. I know I'm not the only person who misheard the lyrics, as I've seen Youtube meme people refer to the "slay" line.He says "smell you like an animal".

That's a lot of assumptions about me you're making there, bud...This is exactly what happens when you decide in advance to hate something for no reason really because the rest of the gang does it.
You start spreading fakes about a Eurovision entry promoting butchering women and you don't even stop for a moment to think: Hey, is that even possible?
I didn‘t follow the whole story but I just read the lyrics. People habe a problem with this?!? Really?!? Why on earth? I don‘t get it.
The "smell you like an animal" part is just weird, lol. But these type of lyrics are kinda their style. They have some interesting lyrics and titles on their album.I didn‘t follow the whole story but I just read the lyrics. People habe a problem with this?!? Really?!? Why on earth? I don‘t get it.

Why do some men (not you)
I don‘t find that weird. It‘s a metaphore. The "smell you like an animal" part is just weird, lol. But these type of lyrics are kinda their style. They have some interesting lyrics and titles on their album.
Shouldn't it be a simile, because it uses like?I don‘t find that weird. It‘s a metaphore.
I’m really sorry!Definitely not me
No problem.I’m really sorry!
Sometimes you think you finally know who is what on this forum… but still surprises! :-)
What do you think about the lyrics?
You mean all the mansplaining dudes?
Why do some men (not you) always feel the need to explain to us women how we have to feel? And what to feel? It’s just ridiculous… men whining how bad and sexist the lyrics are while no woman here (at least the few I know are women) has any problems with the lyrics…
I wish they would sing "f—k you like an animal“ so all the guys are gonna explode
No problem.
Well, I think the lyrics are stupid
"Bring the party, Aphrodite, and I'll chase you on the dancefloor"- really?
But I most definitely don't feel insulted or offended by it.
well actually the word „smell“ is very likely already used in a metaphorical, not in the litteral way so I considered the whole phrase to be a metaphore… A rather simplistic one, but still…Shouldn't it be a simile, because it uses like?
I didn't watch the Eurovision movie. I've never found Will Ferrell particularly funny.well actually the word „smell“ is very likely already used in a metaphorical, not in the litteral way so I considered the whole phrase to be a metaphore… A rather simplistic one, but still…
What strikes me more though is that I saw litterally nobody complaining about the lyrics of „lion of love“ in the eurovision movie but all of a sudden… you make me laugh people, you make me laugh.
