lol I mean, Serhat wasn't in my top twelve for acts I wanted to qualify from that semifinal, but sure you Stan Marino's have deserved a bit of respite. (even though I agree with A-Lister... then again, I dislike A-Lister so WHATEVER) Speaking of stanworthy things, San Marino now has a better qualification record than Macedonia, North or otherwise. Savour this moment while this lasts X0X0 Love, Boris.

Nice way to treat your fellow forum member... then again you don't know me... but hey guess the comment made you feel "bigger" right? Oh well...

I still can't believe this!

BIR, IKI UC!! xyaaay

The first note he starts false and he never comes back to right intonation through the whole 3 minutes... EPIC..

Not to speak about rhythm.. xrofl

I really enjoy this trolling moment, but I'm afraid this won't work in a good way for ESC as a contest..

You mean more like trolling than stanning?

Oh well, people got their joke entry in their final, at least Valentina had talent...

Where's the trolling in enjoying a super fun and charming slice of pop? I don't think I was trolling myself the 200+ times I played the song this Eurovision season. A lot of us genuinely love it and I kind of hate the notion from some that we're trolling. It's incorrect. Say Na Na Na makes me ridiculously happy each time I listen to it, and sometimes that's all I want from music. Questionable vocals to one side (which I don't even mind) everything about this entry is a delight and it won its place in the final cause a bunch of us loved it.

You know what? I'll turn up the volume of my TV on saturday, and I better hear you cheer for your life in the audience when Dad, Zalasper and Queenvena perform.

Aaaand it's exactly whingy, overearnest, PARENTAL comments such as these which make you a not very likable presence :) that and the lecturing San Marino fans when they are celebrating like. Like, be petty towards the Austrians and Greeks but the San Marino fans are harmless lol

Well, I know you from this forum for a long time so I wouldn't really put you in the "troll" category (although sometimes I am really surprised by your taste... but that's subjective afterall so no judging)... it's more let's say... some other overly happy responses that are a bit more questionable in their authenticity

Honestly, Tamta, Zena, Victor and Serhat had vocal issues  Yeah, Reiman wasn't good at all. DJs like to work with poor "vocalists" it seems, same story with Gromee and Luka last year. xthink

So you disagree with my opinions or the way I sometimes phrase myself... that's fine... but to go as far to publicly use the thread to display your supposed "dislike" for me... now that's something else... you don't know me and I never said anything like that about you so... but yeah whatevs... no need to like me... but you could always PM me and actually get to know me (but yeah... that would actually take some effort and might change your opinion about me so I guess mocking is more "fun")... xshrug

Well, you said it yourself. Taste is subjective. I knew from the moment it was revealed that Serhat stood a big chance this year. People were taking to his song, and he came very close previously with a song that wasn't a big hit with fans at all. He did everything in his power this time to deliver something that would bring people joy, and he succeeded.

Serhat's song stood out in a big way in this semi. As a piece of music it was doing something very different to everything else, and it was all just good, clean, wholesome fun. Some people would probably like the contest with thirty six Arcade's each year to live out some kind of deep fantasy, but I want to see everything with a place at Eurovision. I don't think it's fair to assume we're trolling and just having a LOL, although I must admit it's hard not to have a small LOL right now when so many people are going through San Marino-caused meltdowns.

Even my poor mother whom I forced to watch it with me (she isn't a fan of the show) said "children must like this"

I agree it did stand out though and since it's a generally bad year, it was not that surprising in the end that it qualified (I highly doubt it would in a strong year though)... still though it's a bit bitter to see some imo more deserving and serious entries failing and this making it... but hey whatever floats one's boat I guess... I guess there must be some novelty act each year attracting the public and this year this was it ...

To be honest, Serhat is for ages all. The young, the old and the in-betweens. People across Europe were saying na na na last night. No age rating. Just E for everyone.

And red is the colour of love xheart

I was so worried when he fucked up the first verse and chorus when he was so off-beat and I thought „well, it ended as soon as it had begun“ but then... BOOM... Daddy‘s BACK! IN! DA! GAME, HUNNEEEE!!!!! (I just imagine William from wiwi bloggs) (oops are I allowed to say that on this forum? :D)

It's little Turkey here and the power of diaspora. Probably bottom 3 with the juries. Would be this year's Szpak.

Aaaw... as if you were ever nice to me... but hey, the offer is still on the table as with some others in here to PM me and actually get to know me... but yeah, since it never happened I assume you just want to assume things and keep on the mockery... be my guest...

Well, my mother is absolutely in love with Serhat, to the point where there is this uncomfortable rivalry now between us. I'm unsure what's the next step to take.

I get people being upset. If I was a jury member I'd have placed Georgia at the top (even if San Marino is my ultimate number 1 of the year). I'm so sad that one missed. I still haven't been able to watch the performance again yet. I'm not going to blame anything though. Maybe some years ago I would have done with a "Why did blah blah blah make it when blah blah blah didn't?". Most of my favourites tonight crashed and burned (I think very unfairly in the case of Georgia), but I got through one song I loved dearly and that was enough for me. I was really happy. Now after what had been a really enjoyable Eurovision season with fans seemingly having a blast with San Marino, or at the very least not being bothered by it, I have to watch on as people take a mighty dump on it cause it qualified when one of their faves didn't. Of course, this happens every year and we've all had those moments of annoyance, but man it's tiring. I just want to enjoy the moment. Not be having to feel like I have to write mini essays here to explain that we're not trolls.

I get it, well it comes with the territory right? Some will be happy, some will not and we are free to express whatever... but yeah sorry for raining on your parade, the "troll" comment was well... maybe not necessary I guess... it was just my spontaneous reaction (again I didn't direct at you)...

Wow I'm surprised you only liked 1 of the qualifiers!?
