Well, they could follow the example of Sanremo. One vote fom the jurypanel, one vote from a representative group of hundred San Marinese people. This would allow a split voting and because you nominate the second group in advance, you are sure to have a countable real vote. Of course it is a bit difficult to organise it, but I'm sure, Italy could hive advise on it.

Ok... so only have been consulted :? 16 countries, that's even worse than I imagined it was.

First, lol at that no longer participates but gets informed while the rest of the countries (most of them participate every year) aren't even invited.

Second, why this random shortlist? The voting rules apply to everyone if I'm not wrong, everyone should AT THE VERY LEAST be INFORMED before the news gets public. It seems they don't even do that.

There is a peculiar lack of eastern european countries. I don't know much about EBU internals, but 16 countries out of 43 with one of them not even in the contest doesn't seem the most diplomatic approach to me.

What a twisted argumentation. It's the EBU who should have approached San Marino in the first place, not San Marino who has to complain officially at the EBU.

Hopefully, the EBU will consider the request of SMRTV and modify several parts of the voting rules.

However, they are still open to some criticisms/judgements from the members.

Why people whine about this edition... its much better than 2015.... in 2015 from 40 song i could listen only 14 songs, in this from 34(so far) 20 song are fine.
+wanna add that last year winner song was also shit.
