Who knows what would have happened with a later draw? It certainly would have been close. The jury really underscored her. I mean they chose the Finnish entry over her.. ridiculous.
Hopefully next years song will be full on jazz or something neoclassical, beautifully composed with none of Mr Siegel's twinkly production values bathing it. I'm secretly hoping for something really melancholy and dark. Valentina's voice has such a longing and sadness to it. She's got something very special that can't be bought and it hasn't been properly shown off yet. I'm excited but also nervous for her.

Finland really should have been tanked by the jury but they didn't cause ESC was in Scandinavia and Finland is part of their bloc so they didn't. xdoh It was the same with Georgia who also had a Scandinavian connection.
I mean they had no problem really tanking Bulgaria and Switzerland in the same semi, and those were more popular in the televote then Finland/Georgia were. But then again they didn't have the Scandinavian connection so the jury had no problem tanking them. 
If the jury tanked Georgia like the public did (for being every silly ESC stereotype done poorly) or tank Finland for being tacky (since when does the jury support songs like "Marry Me" anyway:?) then Valentina would have made it. There was only 17 points between 9 and 11!!! Finland and Georgia barely made it and San Marino was in the outside looking in

That means another REALLY poor semi slot and another HUGE up hill battle
She so brave, I don't know how much heartbreak one can handle

I'm pretty positive she would have qualified to the final had she had a later draw.
I just can't wait to see San Marino's name on the scoreboard on an ESC final night.

She would've benefited from a later draw... she was so nervous in the beginning, maybe singing later she would've calmed down, had more time to drink coffee or whatever and be more relaxed!! Seriously now, the second slot + nerves jinxed her!

I hope in ESC 2014 her chances won't be screwed by producers. It's not fair to toy with San Marino, only because they are small country. They should be given a chance and putting Valentina on second slot was not like a wind - but a whole damn wind machine on full speed put against Valentina.
There should be some justice and this ESC she will have some chances. And let Italy vote for her too.
