Yeah I get that it's clearly not the best timing for Russia to send a song talking about peace in the world
But I personally adore Tolmachevy twins and love Dina Garipova and Polina Gagarina in ESC.. :)

But it wasn't cheesy and cynical at all. :)
I loved Polina's Million Voices, and I loved Tolmachevy's Sisters. I actually like all Russian ballads, except Dina. That was just dry. Polina was da best. She is an amazing performer, love her so much. She is now performing with her son occasionally.

Yeah I mean after all it's the song that matters

Tolmachevy twins were my fave in 2014 and I hate the fact that both of them (and also Polina Gagarina in 2015) got booed 'cause of Russian governements actings, I mean, it was not their fault, they're just singers that wanted to have some fun at Eurovision :(

... chosen directly by the Russian broadcaster that is part of the whole Kremlin-machinery.

Polina also performed in a pro-Putin song.

It's not just about "having some fun in Eurovision".

Yeah but, I mean, did she really have the choice ?

She's an adult woman, no one is forcing her to do propaganda music for the regime or to sing "peace ballads" representing the regime's propaganda channel.

Anyways, that's then now is now and the scenario is much worse.

Idk, imagine if she was really uncomfortable singing this but got forced ? Idk I can't imagine someone singing like you said "a propaganda song" without being forced...

But am maybe too naive

And what if that won't be such a theme this time?
