i kiiiind of started to think they are pulling a san marino and not denying sergey to keep the hype because their actual choice is not as exciting lol

Because what a coincidence that 3 days ago also Konstopoulous was in that same recording studio than her, and according my wet instint it's seems that R-1 is not going to be satisfied with a single person who goes to sing a ballad that requires so much vocal effort .. :rolleyes:

Since an orchestra is involved in the recording process, I guess that it's pretty much confirmed that we will get another ballad from Russia this year.

So they invited a strong vocalist to make that contrast with a weaker vocalist even more visible.

You Are The Only One had strings mixed in though, so it could end up being an uptempo song with strings mixed into the final beat, or to enhance it.

^ Gasparyan (the best Russian ESC journalist (Andy is Kazkah :cool:) who was in Russian delegation who usually gets insides from Kirkorov himself and his team) said few days ago that it will be a ballad with symphonic orchestra. He said it was meant for Lazarev, but this particular info is not from Kirkorov himself. So it can be Lorak, Netrebko or anyone else. My bet is on Netrebko. I refuse to believe they are so stupid to give sympho ballad to Lazarev. Though these people selected Samoylova so... :rolleyes:.

I agree with you, why bear the expense of an orchestra if it were Lazarev? They might as well use digital strings. Shade but no shade, Lazarev is better suited for uptempo songs vocally-speaking imo.
