Re: RUSSIA 2019

I am quite sure that Russia is still in in to win it.
Last year was a complete disaster; The song was bland, the singer struggled with the english pronunciation (bacause the song itself did not demand a great voice, in russian she could have pulled it off vocally) - but the worst of all was the out-of-place staging with Yulia sitting on top of her "mountain" - looking like she WOULD break any time...

The Russian team will not do the same mistake again. The song might not be the best (but I'm still hoping it will be) - but I expect a great staging and show! Russia has so many talents to choose from. But I guess they are not going for some young and promising act - rather for someone already settled in the musical scene.

Re: RUSSIA 2019

Well, I know this is not going to happen, but I am a fan of new ex-t.A.T.u. member stuff, I really like Lena Katina's songs, especially "Kosy" and "Kurish".

And a trivia for people interested in Russian songs in international markets, a few months ago song "Rozovye vino" by AllJ and Feduk became a huge airplay hit in Poland. Of course it was not that big thing like t.A.T.u., but still - they got a recognition in here. Another song of AllJ/Eldzhey called "Rvane Jinsy" got a very good airplay as well. In case Russia sends AllJ, 12 points from Poland are guaranteed. :D

Neither Panayotov or Temnikova will go, both refused!

All is between Buzova or ''Sweet Revange Bilan 2.0'' Lazarev.

The First channel denied existence of any lists and confirmed "the end of January" as the announcement date.

Ani Lorak maybe? But she said she probably won't be back

Ani Lorak already made herself persona non grata in her motherland, if she'd represent Russia, it would be the final nail in the coffin for her to ever regain some popularity in Ukraine so I doubt she'll do it. Also, she is a big star in Russia now, she doesn't really need ESC at this moment.

That's why I doubt also, but I don't mind her as Russian entrant. Better her than Panayotov...
