Ani Lorak is a close friend of Kirkorov since 2008. They are almost like a family. They even baptized their kids almost in the same day. She's also a close friend of Lazarev since they both judged Ukrainian Voice, they've met for the first time 20+ years ago at the biggest kids show.
Seeing them together is pretty natural to me.

I wouldn't be upset if he come back, I thought his 2016 song was great and providing he doesn't come at us all edgy or whatever and disappoint me then I'm sure it will be great again.

I´d love Sergey to come back, I liked "You are the only one" back in 2016, but even more love some of his other songs, e.g. "7 Wonders", and "Moscow to California".
