Just watched the rehearsal clip and several interviews from the press-room. My expectations are exactly fulfilled: Staging is everything, who needs a song?
And on May 14th millions of Europeans will sit in front of their TV and say: "Did you see how he climbed on those stairs that appeared magically out of nowhere? That's awesome, let's vote for him..."

You may not believe it, but there are people, who actually like the song...Shockingly and surprising, but...

I remember juries have to rank something like "originality". If they don't punish him for basically copying the last year's winner, please take them away now. This song + what could be seen from the snippet is an absolute zero at originality. And the song itself is an absolute zero anyways.

i honestly find it very static. i was expecting more dance and Sergey seemed to have some difficulties to pass the obstacles (well it's first rehearsal)

I find the mapping idea interesting but it does seem very cheap to me because it's over-the-top. And why do i find it cheap ? because it blends a lot of different elements that does not suit well (colors/ shapes/ thunder then shadows). Maybe the camera angles will play a lot in it because just static as it is now, it's just bad, really. I think the song deserves less things to outshine other entries. The "more and more" will kill the entry more than it will uplift it, specially if he's the only to use it that much cause he'll look like a desesperate guy to draw attention where other entries will shine by their sobriety (remember Latvia, Hungary, Belgium last year).

For once it's maybe my "western" eye that sees that, cause i used to meet a lot of Rich Russians or Chinese people in my work and their main thing was to be so opulent that it became cheap and Sergey's perf just reminds me these new richs that need so bad to show and show till the world ends.

By the way i still like the song and cannot wait to see it "live"

The visuals are impressive as expected but I'm not really sure it'l be enough to win. Sweden's were equally good last year and only came third in televoting despite having a more modern and memorable song and a less static performance. Plus the fact that I don't think juries will go for this two years running. Amir is looking like a more likely winner to me

Why can't people understand, that Eurovision's lightning never strikes the same place TWICE !!!

Money can not buy originality!

Not going to say anything about the song

but the staging is really too much of everything. Too much unoriginality, too much focus on staging, too much wanting to look like a winner, showing off too much in just three minutes, too much is happening. Yes, it is impressive and has a wow-factor, no, that doesn't make it a good staging.

Honestly this comes over to me as fake.

It includes ALL of Eurovision's clichés actually :?

Russia is still in my top 10 this year. Sergey is definitely charming as hell (no, I am NOT talking about his body and muscles)!

I expected a big and professional show from the Russian team this year. And I certainly got it - it's just that big isn't always best...
It's like they are trying a little too hard. Adding a little bit of this and a little bit of that... no; actually it's more like they are adding: A lot of this, and even more of that!! I would not call it unoriginal - it's just getting a bit messy, a bit too much, a bit too serious and pretentious...and I dont get a single glimpse of Sergey's charm and smiley face.

I will still need to see how this looks like onscreen though; before my final judgement.

Very good staging. I like the song but have a irrational fear of countries withdrawing if Russia hosts ESC next year, which is why I'm kind of iffy about a potential Russian win :/

Sergey will win no matter if you like it or not. Snap out of it.
If Sergey is overdoing his staging, you are overdoing your hate.

Seriously, even I post mostly 1 hateful post about a song.
