while Sergey's visuals are fresh.

How come the idea borrowed/developed from 2008 & 2015 performances is fresh?
+ American Idol performance in 2015 (esp "stairs").
I've been watching 3D mapping in our X-Factor for years.

It's not even about fresh ideas, it's not bad that somebody has done it before! xfacepalm It's about how it fits together...
I hope it looks better on TV screens in the semi. This is all I'm going to say

Ironise me as much as you want, that wont change my opinion. You are just making it stronger right now btw.

Good for you! :) I'm glad you stay true to your convictions, however imaginary, regardless of how much evidence to the contrary is noted. xcheer

Nobody votes for France. Remember what happened last year? Or in 2012 when France was a big favorite too? Or 2011? Russia has the thing that France doesn't have - the diaspora and the star quality of Sergey. Sergey has the better looks, the better voice AND the better song. Sergey is a superstar in whole Eastern Europe. Who is Amir again? I don't know her.
Hmm I'm from Eastern Europe and I have never heard of him before Eurovision.
And as for the performance it was what I expected they know their song isn't really that good so they trying to distract everyone with the performance to the point of being over the top. If this one does win then a voting change in order to prevent songs like this winning is inevitable because the song won't do well outside of Eurovision and in times when the EBU wants to expand the contest beyond its bubble this no-no for them.

Overrated. From the rehearsal this performance from Sergey Lazarev comes across too full-on and actually becomes annoying, it has zero charm compared to Måns Zelmerlöw's winning performance last year.

Looool

Mons used proections - don't even try to use it again, shame on you Sergey and Greta. Jamala is gonna use it as well!
Laura on Laul used proections of herself - go home Iveta!
Bulgaria in 2007 used water as their main theme - Nina Krajlic, you are ditry plagiator!

Do you read your own posts as well? It's just ridiculous

When he spreads xenophobia, I can't agree with him. Sorry. I see xenophobia even worse as homophobia. Xenophobia is unacceptable and I will call it out every time I can. This is the Eurovision Song Contest for God's sake. Xenophobia doesn't and shouldn't have a place here. I don't think this person belongs to the forum at all. Actually, he deserves to be banned.

Nobody was talking about xenophobia or booing now. Only you brought it up because you think you can shut up all I say by doing so. That's not how it works, of course.
At the same time you keep repeating how much the West hates all Slavs and all of Eastern Europe. You seem to have some kind of complex that you need to deal with.

Wow. This really is quite spectacular. I wasn't expecting it, after reading the comments by those in the press center. I guess maybe only Sweden's Frans might be able to prevent this from winning purely because it's in a completely opposite pole.
Besides, it's not often that two songs in roughly the same line win one after the other (I mean Heroes) But i don't know. This is looking like a winner to me.

Bulgaria used 3D-mapping on it's stage in our NF back in 2012. Sweden used 3D-mapping on their stage in Malmo 2013. I don't see anybody saying that Sweden ripped off Bulgaria

I don't know, the performance just feels so slow and unexciting, and this video makes the song seem so much more dated than I though :( I expected so much better xcry

From friend to friend, run for your life.

Calling "Slavs" "Slaves" is so 1950s. You are a xenophobe.

This! The problem with Sergey even before Eurovision is that he is oversexualized and as a straight dude I find singers like this annoying because I actually hear the song and most of the times there bad for example Take It Off was horrendous but since Sergey was half naked people who find him attractive completely ignored the song. While Amir does't have this problem he has genuine charm that attracts people to him wherever they want to sleep with him or not.

Oh, come on, Amir firstly appeared half-naked too.

it's just a first rehearsal, I think he will get used to it :)

Well I'm just thinking the speed of the choreography and the visuals is just too slow in comparison to the music, I'm not sure what Sergey can do to change that at this late stage...

I'm also starting to believe that Iceland is going to outclass Russia... They have a similar aesthetic but I think the visuals alongside Greta's song will be a lot more impactful than with Sergey's as they fit the mood of the song better, plus the 'Hear Them Calling' is a lot more current.

Armenia could do Conchita-way this year, raise a lot after her semi

I'm starting to get the sense that you were sent here by an anti-Sergey Lazarev conspiracy designed to produce a PR campaign for him so bad that it made people hate him instinctively. Well, it's not going to work on me. Sergey for the win! xcheer

I'd like to think that I was ahead of the times on this one.
