Wow, liking both Lazarev's song and Lordi's song... one must really have a f****d up musical taste... Jeez

Wow, criticizing the music taste of someone else... one must have really low self esteem to attack others over what they enjoy... Jeez.

Respect people. Just for once, try. Please. Thank you.

So that suddenly that means she's got a fucked up music taste? no. It doesn't work like that. You can think that about the songs, it doesn't mean her taste is fucked up.

Ok then.. xshrug

It's an awfully nice thing we're doing, giving someone who feels the need to seek attention from the Internet what they seek. I hope he appreciates how kind we are to him.

Did I read bad words about Lordi?

How can Lordi be considered "cliche" ?
We hardly had entries like Lordi before 2006 so it was rather revolutionary. Hard Rock/Metal is extremely untypical for ESC xshrug

And let's assume for a couple seconds that it isn't. It would still be out of line to say what was said about the person praising them.

I always read on Internet that actually "Hard rock hallelujah" is just a schlager disguised as rock/metal. But anyway, the way they won ESC is really disgusting. They won only because of the masks, basically. I can't believe that the aggressive, annoying song alone would've won without those.

And they left no impact on ESC anyway, since the following year a completely different style of song won.

And that's fine. Think that all you want. But for the first gosh darn time in your tenure on this forum, don't be insufferable to someone who disagrees with you.

I like Lordi's song and it was a great winner. Even after ten years it feels fresher than You Are The Only One. #RussianDisco2000

So believe all other winners, e.g. Conchita Wurst, won only because of the song?

Whether Lordi/Conchita were worthy winners (personally I think they are but as I've said that's literally just me) is immaterial to where the conversation stands right now - Lordi was brought into the conversation because someone found it appropriate to make disparaging remarks about another member and attempted to derail the conversation by claiming that he was being attacked for disliking Lordi, which he was not. He was being attacked for being extremely disrespectful to another member, part of a long history of how he has treated members of this forum.

Wonderful cool beans and all. Of course we're all here to have opinions about the music we're listening to and to share those opinions. Why though unprovoked did you feel the need to attack the taste of another forum member? I'm being serious now. Almost every post I read of yours is hateful or spiteful. You say you have respect for other peoples tastes but you don't. You already declared that you're looking forward to laughing at those of us who enjoy the Georgian and Polish entries this year after they "fail". Why would you behave in such a way? Where is the respect for other people here? We're all here to enjoy the music (if we can) and to talk about it. Not always positive opinions will be shared and that's fine, but insulting other people is not on. God help the person that doesn't have exactly your ideal outlook on music and how it should be. Lighten up a little.

It's cuz everyone always bashes my favourite songs, there's not a year where my fave songs are left alone and in peace by the fanboys, and this is extremely tiring

So because your favourites get attacked, you feel the need to bash other people's favourites? Interesting logic...

I tried to cover up my personal feeling toward Rise Like A Phoenix, but okay

Well he said, that Lordi won only because of the masks that why I asked him if he think other winners didn't have something appealing besides the song. Conchita was just the first example for me, since even the press only wrote about the person instead of the song, back that time :)

We all see our favorite songs bashed; take a look at my signature to see how much experience I have with that. That is by no means a full or even relevant justification to say what you have said about other members of this forum.

Well, we know what brought him here. So don't act surprised.

Just like you I love Icebreaker and do not like Sergey's song but IMO you are suffering from lack of understanding. You should differentiate between malicious haters and people with different opinions....
