Re: RUSSIA 2014

I didn't call it off-topic...I just can't follow your discussion that's all...

But anyway you have the right to talk about this

Re: RUSSIA 2014

Yes, I understand, and -as I said before- we are worried for that but... I insist, we have a 'beautiful' thread to speak about these topics. Here, the main topic is 'RUSSIA AT EUROVISION SONG CONTEST'. Probably, they are connected, but -in my case- I would support Russia if I like their song. Why? Because, above all, that's a song contest. Remember.

... and unlike the thread you refer to, THIS thread is the place to discuss whether Russia should be in ESC or not and not the other.

But that is EXACTLY what we're discussing, but you claimed it's adding fuel to the fire. Nobody is stopping you from supporting Russia, I wouldn't. I should have a right to express myself, no?

Russia is in because they signed up. Period.

Of course, but I think that's off-topic.

You make it look way too simplistic.

Russia could easily be banned if EBU board decided to... again it happened to Serbia so why should Russia be immune? Because they are big? xshrug

Do you think that banning will change anything? You will just inspire their nationalists. Besides Russia is a great financial support, do not forget this

Re: RUSSIA 2014

Which Russian artist that respect himself/herself,
would risk to represent Russia in such a crucial period ?

Well, I'm sure you can discuss UK's participation in UK's thread, no?

Do their nationalists need any more inspiration?

And I haven't forgotten about the "financial support". That's probably the biggest reason why EBU won't do anything.

No, I didn't say that. I mean Eurovision is a big party for Europe, and we shouldn't discuss about it. What happens outside, it stays there...

Of course, it's an advice. You can speak and give your opinion always...

I'm here, babe! I was just checking the last pages :)

I don't see anything breaking the rules so far. The fact is that this discussion is related to ESC.

Other thing is that I find it quite useless......... Two members want Russia being banned and the rest don't even want to talk about it. Even if it's allowed, I think we can move on since we are going nowhere good... :?

Re: RUSSIA 2014

Talking about Russia in ESC is "off topic" in a thread about Russia in ESC?

^^ Here is my answer. ;)

My last comment, I mean.

But one partygoer is trying to steal another party goer's home. We shouldn't talk about it? Shouldn't other partygoers try to do something? At least not invite the aggressor to the party?
