Re: RUSSIA 2014

Doesn't Russian citizenship get fast tracked for those born during the Soviet Empire? Not that citizenship is needed for ESC but its just an example of the way Russia views those born pre-1991

Ummmm i don't know who views them that way, citizens of Moldavian SSR had never been citizens of Russian SSR, those were two different countries in one union, that's pretty much it)

Re: RUSSIA 2014

My favourites xheart
1.Dima Lutfullin - Neon. I guess it's too similar to Sweden music like Euphoria or anything like this. But I really like this)) that's absolutely a format for euro.
2.fidel wicked - dancing with me. Good. But not a format.
3. KaZZaky ltd. WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON??? That's poor excuse of Kazaky???
But song is good.
4. Ilya gurov - lose control. Not bad for NF.

I'd like to see Nyusha and Pelageya one day, Nyusha rocks the stage and is very energetic and current, Pelageya would definitely come out with something ethnic in russian and she has an incredible voice :)

We have alredy heard ethnic russian music from Russian grandmothers.
I think it's time to present modern young Russian really good performer like Roma Acorn (I heard he wears a nick "Russian Justin Bieber", he is cuuute^^
Or "Nervy", Maks Korzh, Russia is so talented!
But from this list of participants I'd really like to see Dima Lutfullin in Denmark this spring

xshock

xshockxshockxshock Nooo, please...

I think that practically no chance... this is a guy who every year sends applications for selection...

It means not in vain tried. Annual shipping applications prevents passage to the finals?
Guy you're far from Eurovision spirit.
I just think that Dima is the best bidder of all the proposed.
If you set so I can recall you about your infamous artists, Russia.
Alex Sparrow, Filipp kirkorov, PRIHODKO ANASTACIA, savicheva Julia.
I watch ESC every year from 1990 and I can say that Russia takes good positions benefits fromthe political situation and points from neighbors like Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Armenia etc.
times are changed from last eurovision. And I hope it'll be rightull at this time.

Yes, that performance of Nyusha is GREAT, but she should represent Russia in English language, Russia can't get very good result in Russian language..you know when ppl from Ireland and the UK for example will pick the phone and vote for pop song in Russian language? N E V E R! Even jury won't vote it, not to mention televoting! :?

Yes... more broken English to ESC xcheer

xpuke

Of course she should represent Russia in RUSSIAN if she'll ever enter for Russia! Why should Russia send any songs in English just to make Irish/British juries happy? It makes zero sense to me, there's more to Europe than those two! xshrug

Russian is a beautiful and BIG language which also happens to be understood in many parts of Europe and is even the second most known language in many Eastern countries of Europe (more known than ENGLISH!), there's absolute no sense why an artist representing a huge country with a big language to sing in a language she never sings in normally just to cater to Europhobics! To me that's unnatural and plastic and this is the exact attitude that is currently KILLING Eurovision! She made her career singing in Russian, not in English! Acts entering ESC should stay true to themselves and the countries they represent!

Recycling? xshrug It's true, your "logic" make no sense, especially when it comes to a language like Russian which is already understood or partly understood by quite many of the ESC countries and which is an even bigger foreign language in many of them than English is xshrug

What petition?

Happy New Year! ;)
