I'm actually starting to wonder how come it came that low in televoting lol it's not that bad at all
But Romania relies heavily on diaspora votes, so if the Romanians don't like the song, then we have a problem.
First you gotta convince Romanian voters.
The problem is that this song is so bland. Even if its doesn't harm anyone its an untypical choice people put at number 1. She randomly became the "chosen one" by an equally random selection of people that is in no way representative of romania at all. And this clearly showed in the televote. Its only around 40 (!) people who were giving it its vote after all. :D

national final results don't mean much for eurovision prospects. so many last placers in semifinals won their NF televotes handily lol. ester might not qualify because it's such a hard semi but don't bet against romania so easily. they sucked as much as it's possible to suck last year and it still went 11th.

Ester got 365 Televotes. I also dont get how Bella could get only 1161 Votes, despite the Fan- and Xfactor-Hype. Even last year when she was unknown, she got more Votes.

I like this song for like 30 seconds when it starts, and then I get bored and move on. I do think she's a pretty compelling performer and there's enjoyable elements to this song, but it's definitely not the most exciting entry through-out, it just sort of prods along.

Romania with Moldova & Italy have almost guaranteed 36 points from the start (televoting Italy & jury + televoting from Moldova).

But if they don't like the song for a couple of reasons, will they still vote for it? Too much drama happened in the NF, I can't see Laura and Bella fans in Italy&Moldova voting for Ester.

Did people seriously loved the Humans? They were almost as random winners as Ester Peony. ''Laura and Bella'' fans will not matter.

lol that might actually be true. :tr: 2005 was one of the biggest media virals ever in Turkey (in a bad way) and still it managed to get all douze points from countries with Turkish diaspora. so maybe diaspora votes don't care at all what the song is.

LOOOOOL You can't be serious xrollinglolxrollinglolxrollinglol

Yeah, why not, I really don't like shake shake stuff and fake ethno entries, I detest 'em..
But this one featured real ethnic music elements from Central Anatolia..and costumes were inspired by real ethno/folk costumes.. :)
her vocals were a bit weak at parts..but so what..

The same goes for Nelly Ciobanu from Moldova in 2009, but Nelly was vocally MARVELOUS! xheat

I doubt Moldova will ever pick smth as AMAZING as Nelly Ciobanu again! :(

Didn't know you're so into Central Anatolian folk music :D I come from Black Sea region, our music is very distinct and different from central anatolian, so I'm as foreign as you are to it. :D Our ethnic elements are closer to what :gr: usually sends to ESC (especially 2016).

:cz: 2008 singer Tereza Kerndlova also seems to be into Central Anatolian music, she has a song in that genre, called 'Tell it to the rain'

Idio- [remembers that the admins loved "Goodbye" on last year's livestream, swallows mid-sentence] I mean, naive people that know very little about treating clinical depression. *bats lashes innocently* (Not necessarily refering to Matt here, because Matt liked everything - Except Christabelle, for some reason)

I'm Central Anatolian, 2005 had Anatolian elements but overall was just produced so terribly which made it overall never give that kind of Central Anatolian vibe to me. I just realized it had some Central Anatolian elements after relistening it lol.

But I can laugh on the lyrics: the way she says 'Herşeyimsin' so full of passion, poor Gülseren... xrofl at least she made Mrm happy and got 1 fan, literally.

Didn't know you were Karadenizli. EscTurkey  Your style is indeed way closer to Greek I'd say.
