The big question is: Is it worse to start before or after such a BANG-entry? I don`t really have numbers at hand so it`s probably hard to tell.
I'd say after, though it wouldn't matter that much. The good thing and relief of all of this is that France is sandwiched between Ukraine and Azerbaijan

Ukraine will be just fine, I can't believe you think that they would be even scratched by France in the running order.

Those are completely different tastes and audiences.

People who will like Ukraine will go to the toilette during France performance.

Televote this year will be essential. More viewers than ever, people at home due to the covid era. Juries can go rest in peace.

The transition between Ukraine and France will be bad for France as people who will stand up from their couches to dance on Ukrainian song will then have to face the artisitic performance of Barbara
Then, again, I can't see how such a transition can break Barbara in any way, since Ukraine and France are two different songs, if not complete opposite ones.

Well, even if millions more would vote at home, unfortunately the system allows the opinions of few "experts" (they're not) to have more impact on the end result xshrug

I adore France and Ukraine. Musical taste doesn't work within such boxes.

The Croatian theorem hahah.

Croatia not qualifying is a proof to otherwise.

That would make me be curiou about San Marino, Sweden, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Norway in the final jury vote. Good point!

I find it rather interesting that people are willing to write off :mt: already (or again).

The betting odds from past 15 years show that Malta was always super hyped by the audience and the bookies, but would end up not even close to top 5.

IMO the juries voted once for Netta, and they will not repeat that again.

Though I have my fingers crossed for Destiny after all the fat shaming she had to endure and the burden of carrying a song that is not her age appropriate.

The UK got as many points in the fake televote as they are likely to get in the finals total.
